Is it possible to get the majority of STO on an USB drive so that it can be installed on a new remote comptuer (say when travelling or at a school computer), so that their internet connection doesn't get hammered with the size of the install download files?

But probably not advisable, since the USB drive will not be very fast. But it's certainly possible to just copy the install folder.

Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.
