I highly doubt Cryptic is going to hand out a T6 Temporal Ship for free, especially the Temporal Dread which I think a bunch of you are wishing for. All the game's temporal ships have been of an exclusive nature at the very least:

I'll be surprised if Cryptic breaks that temporal vessel tradition of being in the ritzy part of the shipyards.
My guess is that Cryptic will release a new version of the temporal lockbox, with a T6 science ship in the box, a T6 destroyer in the Lobi store, and the dreadnought (it will be a dreadnought cruiser most likely) will be in a temporal DOff pack.
Support 90 degree arc limitation on BFaW! Save our ships from looking like flying disco balls of dumb!

Following that logic, we would never have recieved a Ferengi ship either, since all the Ferengi ships ingame were exclusive once, yet they still decided to reward a Ferengi ship for the summer event and Arc users even got a free Ferengi shuttlecraft.

Except for the Annorax...the other ones are (IMO) useless since they're T5...need a re-do desperately.
Those ships are still good enough to do their jobs. The Temporal Science Vessel in particular is quite flexible and is the backbone for a number of users out there, particularly for Non-Feds. Anyways, I'm all aboard T6 and all, but I know you can still curbstomp the living TRIBBLE out of this game even with the freebie / dil / promotion token Lv40 T5 ships.

The logic is still sound. The Ferengi Nandi is a single anomaly in a sea of ships and releases that have TRENDS. "TRIBBLE Happens" but I will back my observations on what Cryptic has done on a regular basis than clinging on to false hopes of waiting for a life-saving burst of rain in the middle of the Sahara Desert in summer. Because that is exactly what you guys expecting the Temporal Dread is going to be the Anniversary Ship are doing.
If it happens? COOL. I'll collect the ship right next to you. But I don't believe it will happen because Cryptic's history says otherwise. Because again, the history of their Temporal Ships says otherwise.
I would say it'll be a T6 Oddysey, along with T6 Scimitar an T6 Bortas'qu. Faction flagships are yet to have their T6 versions.
Would they have command or intel seats, or even both?
The only ships in the game that get Dual Specialization Access are the Premium Ships: Lobi, Lockbox, Promo Pack Ships, especially the newer stuff. The Sheshar for instance was the first T6 Promo Pack Ship and it only has a limited Intel Station. Later stuff like the T6 JHAS, Zahl Cruiser have Dual Spec Access.
C-Store and Winter/Summer/Anniversary Event Ships (Samsar, Nandi, Sarr Theln, "Lobster," etc) have had Single Specialization Access. And it is only certain Faction C-Store Ships where we find some with Full Specialization Access (Phantom, Qib, Eclipse, Faeht, Command FDCs, etc) with Cmdr Hybrid stations.
TLDR: The Anniversary Shipis highly likely going to be a Single Specialization Access on a LtCmdr slot at the very best.
Now... being from the future ... I realise I have now changed what would of happened for this timeline... sorry folks... you'll all miss out on the 'Gekli milk' console... god that thing was OP!
I don't care what ship they give us, if they give us one at all, if I can't put(minimum specification for usefulness to me) 2 EP2W abilities(of the same level), 2 BFAW abilities(level doesn't matter), 1 AP: Beta, 1 Hazard Emitters, 1 Science Team, 1 Tactical Team, and 1 Engineering Team then it will be just an Admiralty Card. Anything less than that is just not useful to me, for combat purposes anyway.
But in all reality, what I actually want, is for them to skip the ship altogether and just give us the Omega Particle event again, that is what I REALLY REALLY REALLY want.
Last year...the anniversary event was launched on 1/29. Not sure why it has been so dead in terms of communications this time around (except for weekend events on calendar or sporadic rp blogs). What gives? Can you throw a bone to the community as to what might be coming up at all? It is less than a week a half before 1/29...unless this event will get pushed back further to February. I'm assuming the event will start next Thursday?
Well now we know, a Krenim Science Vessel T6. Hurray, today is a good day... for KDF Sci Captains.
Yeah - except now the complaining about how it will (probably) be a typical 3/3 weapon layout, typical of a Science ship, will ensue. Mark my words.
I also suspect there will be moanings that the RR/KDF still don't have a faction-specific sci ship....
I think the moaning will be especially loud if this ship does not have 3 tac slots. Oh the complaints if it has a 2/5/4 (tac/sci/eng) set up. It will be glorious.

First, sadly your probably right, but I think thats just because too many people don't realize that a sci vessel's strengths don't really lie in its weapons.
But still, while a faction sci vessel would be very nice for both KDF and ROM at T6, I would like to believe that finally having a widely available T6 with (I would assume as its a T6 Sci ship) sensor anaylsis, subsystem targeting, hybrid seating and a Cmd Sci would still make most people happy. Not satisfied to give up on a faction T6 mind you, but at least just happy for the moment that its not another cruiser or escort. (Both classes of which I enjoy on many characters but have been rather overdone as event ship offerings IMHO) Not to mention its a Krenim ship so we can look forward to Wibbly Wobbley Timey Wimey... Stuff. But then again this is the internet so...
As Zephram Cochrane once said, "That'll do, pig. That'll do." - April 1st 2015.
Yeah, my klink sci just hopes for sensor analysis and 4 sci consoles (or more).
But I'll take it anyway it is, for the low price of free.
I also suspect there will be moanings that the RR/KDF still don't have a faction-specific sci ship....
Of course, and I'll be first. I'm very grateful for excellent T6 science ship, but I still want to see faction-specific sci ships for KDF and RR down the line (and true carriers for both too).
Yay for science ship, but still need reassurance it wont be that silly Q box minigame to get it
It probably will be though, I'd much rather just do the anny episode for 10 days in a row or something instead. Specially if it's a good one, and it seems to be.
Yay for science ship, but still need reassurance it wont be that silly Q box minigame to get it
Seems likely that it will be like last years combo of the FE (400 of whatever is replacing Qmendations, probably 2016 Anniversary Vouchers), and then the daily of the Omega minigame for the rest. Speaking of which, and not to derail a thread about a ship, but I guess those gloomy gusses who were "so sure" Cryptic would ditch Omega Particles can stop worring now.

It won't be. Like we had last year, the Omega molecule event will be returning to be the primary method that we get the anniversary currrency. The blog detailing the anniversary says the Omega event will be back.
Since this year's anniversary ship is a science vessel, that means that they'll be releasing faction specific science vessels (most likely in three-packs) soon after!
Still holding out hope that a temporal specialization is coming out with these ships!

Well, of course this makes me wonder if it's going to share anything with the Annorax/add options for the Annorax. Costume parts? Hull material? Will it have a console that forms a set with the Annorax console? Could be interesting.

Not necessarily (Dyson wasn't faction tied technicly, this is still Krenim), but I'm hoping you're correct.
There's nothing even dropping a clue about temporal spec, so far in the files anyway, sadly, as I'd also want temp spec.

Original STO beta tester.
Pretty sure of that, i'll be the one screaming first!!, or one of the first anyway
T5 Temporal Destroyer - Lobi
T5 Temporal Science Vessel - Lockbox
T6 Annorax - Promo Pack

Hippity hip Hoorah, finally a ship worthy o' me klin'on sci cap'in.

Still waiting to be able to use forum titles

I thought the box game was easy.
