Annoying random Torpedo High Yield 1 buffs in Queue missions

I'm assuming this is some sort of trait or something that people seem to have all the time, but it's really quite annoying to me as a torpedo boater to have my own much better Torpedo powers getting overridden by whatever this buff is. So many times I was going to use my Torpedo Spread 3 at an opportune moment with gravity well only to have that annoying buff come up and TRIBBLE my timing up and put the torpedo I needed for that on cooldown before I can try again..... Potentially to be foiled by the same buff again.

Please Cryptiic, make it so it CANNOT ever take priority over our own active torpedo boff powers whether before or after they are activated, whatever this is, it's so annoying!

one of the command abilities boosts torp and gives a free high yield to someone. and while the they should be able to do some about if you have your version active. after you use it, however would need time travel which sadly we still can't do.

if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.

As a torp boat captain, I really like it when someone does that. It's a free HY for me. Because most of my ships don't have Command seating, I couldn't run Concentrate Firepower myself. Having someone run it completes my build somewhat.

It really is a boon especially when you fire your torpedoes manually. You can fire off a HY AOE torp like the Enhanced Biomolecular torp followed immediately by your torp spread to some spectacular results. At worst it will delay your torp spread by a second.

I was wondering who kept "stealing" my Concentrate Fire powers :-)

As to the OP, I've been dealing with this issue w/ Borticus for about a year. Long story short, any rank of HY will take precedence over any rank of TS. Best used under manual fire and hope for no lag.

I knew using Kinetics would be playing the game on hard mode, but what I didn't realize was how bad the deck is stacked against Kinetics.

As I recall, it doesn't matter if it's activated by CF or yourself. it's an alphabetical issue, right?

The way Bort said they were able to "fix" the bug w/ torp firing hierarchy was to set it so that each power was given a priority relative to the others, and higher ranks for each power took precedence over the lower ranks. Example:

    Transport Warhead 3
    Transport Warhead 2
    Transport Warhead 1
    High Yield 3
    High Yield 2
    High Yield 1
    Spread 3
    Spread 2
    Spread 1

So, if you fire a torpedo at a target that has CF on it, then activate TS3, The HY1 will be available to you when the torpedo strikes the target. If you wait and then activate Transport Warhead 2, TW2 takes precedence over all other active abilities.

As to CF itself, depending on the rank used, every time your torpedo hits and acquires an eligible charge from CF, you get a HY1. The window is once every 6/4/2 sec for rank 1/2/3.

hmm... any idea why TW got made a higher priority?
