    Well, after Twilight Sparkle cast that spell on the Parasprites, they became able to consume literally anything from rocks to wood to dirt to metal, so under those conditions the Parasprites are more of a threat. We have not so far seen Tribbles eating stuff that could not reasonably be considered food for a mammal-like organism.

    Parasprites are also A LOT more mobile than Tribbles.
