I don't care for equal playing field or the DPS league in general.
Who cares. Go play Romulan. Don't like their options? Go play Fed. They at least have THREE full Intel ships, and plenty of Science Vessels (but clearly not enough at T6). Don't like Fed, play KDF and run Qib or Pilot Raptors and hope Cryptic keeps up X-Faction bundles.
Also, everything will die sooner or later; just depends on the quality of any build. Sure you might be doing TRIBBLE DPS in a queue that demands speed, and if you're that crappy, may end up being charged with an AFK'er penalty, but that's on you to improve your own build. And there's plenty of ways to find out how to improve it.
