So, just bought the life time subscription....
However i cant create a new 'Romulan Liberated Borg', haven't been able to find the talaxian either.
Now there's only 3 available races to choose from on the romulan side so pretty sure I haven't missed, it I know there are some issues with the game etc however if you advertise something as being included I expect that item/service to be available.
Hence the 'False advertising'

Unless that got fixed in yesterday's patch.
The bug where you couldn't create a new character from c-store species was apparently fixed yesterday.

So am I able to create these characters when this bug is fixed ? Given the amount I have already spent over the years doing a monthly sub there is no way I would consider dropping this vast sum on this game, but I will carry on monthly instead...
I created a lib Borg, but she is a fed
You can sub for a million days, Talaxians and Lib Borg only come with an LTS.
I don't have any free character slots though, but I might buy more some day to make a Lib Borg Klingon or KDF Talaxian.
Talaxians can be created for only Fed and KDF. It would have been nice if Romulan Republic was an option.
That's already 2 weeks I am trying to make one Talaxian. Don't be on a hurry, they take their time to fix it...

And as you (hopefully) saw above, they're aware of the issue and are working to fix it.
STO is a piece of software. Like any software, sometimes there are bugs. Of course there "shouldn't" be a bug, that's a given. But it's also a given that bugs do happen.
Reward list for veterans/LTS include:
Not available to other players:
Permanent skill point boost
A lot of titles and associated accolades as well as forum titles
A number of uniforms/costumes
Ship material (space costume)
"Fireworks" space emote

Well, usually, you can't sell something that isn't working...
That's twoo weeks now we can't make Talaxians and it isn't mentioned in the last patch notes (known issues). They don't care about it, maybe they'll fix it one day, or never. But still in fact they are selling stuff that isn't working, which is unacceptable.
I am sorry, but you are new to economy, aren't you? Things that do not work as described but will be fixed are being sold all of the time. Yes, it shouldn't be in the first place, and you have every right to be disappointed and not accept that kind of behavior.
But with all kinds of software not working, hardware not working as intended - it happens. In the minority of cases, granted, but it happens. And look at all the games you barely can play before the second major patch...
Now a bug of course is a bug, but they knew about it a while ago.... and yet they still advertised it!! $199 is a lot of money and when you spend it only to find your not getting what you paid for then that's unacceptable.
I am not. Things that do not work as described are remove from the store until it is fixed. That's how it's works, everywhere, and for everything. A bug? We are talking about character creation here. Do you know any oher game that had character creation broken? Games in beta maybe? No. In alpha? Never saw.
But let me tell you why I am mad : for me we are not talking about a bug but about inefficiency. They knew about the bug right after season 11 and they fixed it at the first patch. But they are so bad on what they are doing that they didn't check all races and only fixed half of it. The fact that the bug isn't mentioned in patch notes (know issues) is a proof that they thought it was fixed.
Umm, are you saying that the LTS should be pulled completely because the LTS exclusive races are currently not creatable despite the stipend, instant veteran rewards and gold member features all still working?
Cause if you are, that's like demanding that a gym stops taking new members because it's pool is closed for maintenance.
The point is moot. We just had a Dev come into the thread right off the bat, and confirm that they're trying to fix it asap.
It's a piece of software, constantly being worked on - updated, changed, fixed up, and modified. Sometimes updating things will break seemingly unconnected things, like the 'Battle of the Blue' bug in Fleet Alert that randomly popped up.
They're not selling a broken product. They're selling an piece of software that's being regularly updated and modified. And in this particular case, they're working to fix the known problem. It's not that the LTS will never have these options - it's that they're temporarily unavailable due to a known bug that's being addressed immediately.
Players buy LTS for playables races. Did you already see a LTS player playing something else than a liberated Borg or a Talaxian after they bought it?
Maybe not remove it but at least something like a notice that say playables races are temporarily unavailable.
These kinds of bugs only come in this game. That's 16 years now I am playing mmorpg and I never saw a bug in character creation. Also I can say this game is one of the most bugged out. The only one I remember that it was so bugged is AOC at release.
