Zone chat disabled?

Hello, I'm hoping someone might be able to please help me. Several months ago (maybe six or so) my zone chat in game vanished. I could only see zone chat in STF's, any other area of the game it was disabled and nothing came through. I also don't think I was able to communicate in zone chat either.

I have gone through every setting in the game, I've even deleted and reinstalled the game (had to reinstall using ARC which I'm not happy about), but still the zone chat is disabled, and I cannot figure out why.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, as much as zone can sometimes be frustrating, it's absence makes the game feel rather empty.

    1: Zone needs to be disabled anyway. In fact, disabling Zone should have been the very first thing you did when you started playing STO.

    2: If you have toggled Zone in the settings, but still get no results, I suggest you take a screenshot or two, and open a ticket.
    I completed a 2-man CSE, ISE, and KASE, Optionals included. And I soloed Winter Invasion.

    Ok thank you, I will try that. Was hoping to avoid the ticket as they are invariably useless and never read what the problem is, much less answer it.

    My zone chat broke the very instant that Defera and Nukara broke. I swear I was not trying to have a chat with either the Borg (Sounds Swedish!) or the Tholians. Zone chat has not come back and I can't say I'm really missing it except when I'm feeling like a reminder of how many intellectually challenged people log in to STOj.

    Right click any tab at the top of your chat window and select chat options. Select the chat tab on the left side of the window for which tab you want zone chat to appear in. On the right side is a list of various types of chats with check boxes. Any type of chat that is checked will show up in that chat tab. You may need to scroll down to find zone chat but make sure it's checked. If you're still not seeing zone chat I don't know what else could fix it.

    If you want zone chat in more than 1 tab you'll need to select each chat tab on the left side of the chat options window and check the box for it on the right side.

    Thank you, I have tried that before, and I've even created separate windows with just zone selected as a test. Nothing works, as I said I even re-installed the game. I will create a ticket. Thank you all again :)
