Romulan character unable to wear KDF Aligned uniform

My female Romulan captain can't wear the KDF aligned uniform. My female Romulan bridge officers can't wear the uniform either, but the male Romulans can, as well any other species of any other gender. Its been like this for a while and have submitted multiple bug reports about it. Is there any way around this?
