Alternate way to claim promo items? Graphics card kaput, game crashes on start-up

Well the title says it all. My graphics card chose a really inconvenient time to die on me, and I can't get another one before the give-away weekend ends. Is there another way for me to claim my hoverboard, other than trusting some friend online to log into my account for me?
