You know, since we're losing, I've been thinking, maybe I need to embrace my new pancake carrier. I bet I could land that sucker in the water at Risa and power board right out of those wide bays. ..
The Adama maneuver with power boards
I'm down with that.
Can we have a cinematic of that for our arrival at the next Summer Festival?
I don't see this as getting the Jupiter class, that is a dreadnought. The difference between Alpha and Omega are pretty minimal, but I like the edges and the side opening of the Omega. Also, stop saying Omega because you want a Jupiter, Omega will not be the Jupiter, Omega is a carrier, Jupiter is a dreadnought, get it right!
On the klingon side, the voquv used to show up as a dreadnought when your health was low enough to call in support, so just because something is a carrier doesn't mean it can't be a dreadnought. Not to mention the fact that the jem'hadar and xindi carriers are both called "dreadnought carrier"
The Nebula-configured Odyssey needs to be a thing.

You mean the Adama Fiasco, where he sacrificed the larger, more modern warship that had a manufacturing plant onboard instead of the antiquated one that had taken significant damage and had one functioning launch pod? Good plan, that.
I voted Omega, because of the large hanger bays. No other carrier has them (i.e. no other carrier really looks like a carrier). I must admit thou that i like the placement of the impulse engines, and the spoiler on the Alpha better.
I just hope that no matter which one wins it is a true carrier that can only mount point defense so those who use them have to actually use them as carriers and are forced to depend on the fighter shuttles to do the damage.

I have seen WAY to many of the Carrier Mafia play them like a cruisers albeit minimal damage cruisers. Wish they would get a hint that a carrier is not a ship of the line like a cruiser is but a standoff ship.
Erm... that'll be a no.
Join date is wrong, I've actually been around since STO Beta.
True alters don't have a "main". Account wide unlocks for all unique event rewards!!

Pretty much agree, I would like the engines of the alpha.. but the hull I feel for the Omega is where its at.. its looks like a carrier even down to having those control tower looking modules right next to the hanger... who know maybe we will get lucky and they will have some of the alpha parts as cosmetic changes and we can have best of both :-)

I really like both. The utility of the Omega's practicality and the lines of the Alpha. Couldn't we see Omega with some of Alpha's lines incorporated and the sensor pod? Otherwise, provide both as separate costumes to mix! Can't wait to see the end result!

Us Alpha voters can only hope so...
Do not forget what I said earlier: "We shall neither forget that they do not say those ships won't come out at all, it only said that this votes was for a carrier, the others can come as they looks like(Example: Epsilon reminds me of an Escort)."

Very true..as far I'm concerned, Epsilon/Sigma might make a semi-decent frigate pet for Omega.
i still wish they would add both alpha and omega in the game since so many like both designs and both would no doubt sell like hotcakes im just confused why they dont add them both
Congratulations, Team Omega. Aside from the usual moaning, I've especially enjoyed this little experiment. My favorites didn't actually win, but that's okay. That's how voting works. If nothing else, I think the increasingly detailed art renderings for the designs as the voting moved along showed that even the "ugly" designs (to me) turned out pretty nice in the hands of talented artists. And it was fun being involved at all in a process that wouldn't usually even be visible. Great idea, and well done @pwlaughingtrendy!
So, next step is build. I'm curious what that entails.
I'm guessing it'll involve weapons, console and BOff-seat layout
Model will hash out the chosen design a bit more, and get her a final paint job.
Then, release.
Maaaaybe we'll get to hit it with a bottle of champagne and give her class a name too.
That last option sounds brilliant if they actually allow us to do that. Also, here's hoping that when we vote for the build of the ship, no one goes ahead and instantly jumps to voting the DPS only build that makes absolutely no sense for a carrier.

Ya but people want a carrier to be able to compete... right now STO's meta is dps, dps and oh more dps.. and since carriers cant depend on there fighters and such for that dps.. the only way is to have the carrier itself have fire power... I would love to see a carrier work like there supposed to but I can see people voting for a more dps centered build just so they can compete.

Still waiting to be able to use forum titles

I think it just looks more like a Carrier with the Large Hangers on the side.
