another rep designed to force players into queues.. sad

from what i am seeing on tribble you cannot get terran rep marks unless you do those queues, just like the iconian rep. HELLO CRYPTIC!!! not all of us want to be shoehorned like that! give us missions we can do without a damn queue or team, just like the reps prior to Iconian.

Um... actually there is a second option for Terran Marks. The upcoming Badlands Battlezone.

The battlezone is definitely coming. This was already confirmed in the blogs.

And when the Iconian Ques were in testing on tribble, the Kobali Ground Zone didn't award Iconian Marks and Data Cores. Not everything is on Tribble.

Moral of the story, look into things before creating a thread to complain about issues that don't exist. There has never been a single reputation system that forced qued events as the sole method of gaining marks. Not sure why you thought they would start now.

Just because it isn't on tribble yet, doesn't mean it isn't happening. Most likely they'll add the rest of the stuff to test this Thursday, with the season release being next Thursday.

I actually prefer queues, anyway, more often than not. Battlezones are okay every now and then, but queues tend to be more efficient.

and to add, the terrans are probably a lot less annoying than undine or iconians.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Terran rep is gonna have a battlezone.
Also, I farmed my Iconian rep in the Kobali Prime adventure zone, by repeating the two last missions(which you can activate from Act 3 in the replay console on Kobali Prime, gives a bunch of marks and one elite mark each daily) in that zone.
    Never did a queued mission.
Sure, it was a bit slow, but I wasn't in a hurry, and it gave enough to fill a daily rep project plus extra.

I like that there are options. Personally, I love the battle zones myself.

It's nice that there is an option for both of our preferences.

Yeah, when they first mentioned new queues and a new Battlezone. It was pretty obvious where people are going to go. It's ashame Cryptic just doesn't get that people are tired of queues. Outside of the CEE, the queues been dead even after a week New Dawn went live.

Those spacing guild ships were 20 kilometers huge!? And the guild and all of mankind lost a war against a bunch of sand people!?

The end of Dune should have been the guild crashing a heighliner on top of Paul. The guild wins and the fremen run screaming for their lives.

I agree on not having much to get marks from. They seem to get less and less on options. The Battle zone is OK, if they do it right. Kobali was good as it gave you different missions and a story to show progress. The Iconian was a long boring drag. Since it only had the 1-2 missions to get marks from and for the solo players. That was your only option. The Romulan you had all those ground missions, plus space ones. Dyson you had the regular sphere then the big battle zone. So you can see how they are reducing your options to collect marks. Even the Omega and Nukura had options so your not doing the same TRIBBLE each time.

I'm not fully sure IF I will do this new Rep.

      Ever heard of Kobali Prime?

he shall be of iron will and steely sinew.
In great armour I shall clad him and with the mightiest weapons he shall be armed.
He will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight him.
He shall have such tactics, strategies and machines that no foe will best him in battle.
He is my answer to cryptic logic, he is the Defender of my Romulan Crew.
He is Tovan Khev... and he shall know no fear."

To put it simply, the likes of Season 10, the war that never was, can't be repeated. A reputation track must come with more options than three queues and the last stretch of a previous battle zone. Every reputation track must be accompanied by an adventure map or battle zone which provides players with enough varied options to increase their reputation outside of teamed instances. More patrols need to be added, space and ground. It also wouldn't hurt for featured episodes that are tied to a specific reputation to award marks.

We need more options. More immersive things to do. More activities to keep players engaged within the game so that they feel like adequate progress is being made towards specific goals.

The iconian is the most difficult. The others all have plenty of choices. I keep like 4000 of each mark type on hand on each character out of compulsion. If it wasn't for the parrots of Risa this would have been a real slog. Once the new rep starts it will be even worse as the 3 queues get abandoned. There may be some replay to Brotherhood, but for a new player coming along I sure wouldn't want to play it and the last missions on Kobali that many times. One solution is to add Iconian to Borg disconnected.

But it doesn't sound like Mirror Rep will be a problem at all.

Since it has been pointed out that the Badlands Battle Zone will also award 'Elite Marks' you are now free to edit the Thread Subject Title.

Also, what are the chances that the little frosty epohhs will award marks of your choice? Say it with me . . . "Dont you want an Epohh friend?"

If any Devs happens to read this, thank you very much for every means to “force” me into queues. I never visited the Kobali battle zone for ico marks. Brotherhood of the Sword is one of the very best ground maps you ever designed. My friends and I will enjoy it for moths to come even though we don’t need the marks. You managed an awesome mix of team play and dps requirements to conclude it. It’s fun in pugs and premades alike and the rewards are perfectly fitting the effort.

I look forward to be forced into the new 2 pve maps as well if they are even remotely as good.

No interest in battlezones at all here.

Yes they are not forcing you to do the Reps. However if you want to do them. They are forcing you to do certain stuff to do them. As in this case less options to get the Rep done or to build up marks. Where in the past they had more options to work with. Iconian was the worse case. Either the single mission, or Ques.

If this new one don't have a good range of options in the battlezone. I'm passing on it.
