Torpedoes should get a speed buff. They are so slow compared to ship speed. People have been outrunning their own and other people's torps for years now.
Not only that but the near 2 second lag between clicking the fire button and the torpedo actually firing needs to be removed. Seeing as 10% shields will block 90% of damage, a speed buff and lag fix would make regular and older reputation torps viable again.
10% shield doesn't normally block 90% of damage. But I agree on speed, one of the reasons I use Quantum is due to the faster flight speed but even then I often overtake my own torpedo's.

Last I checked, photons and quantum traveled at the same speed.
I just want a One Shot Hit torpedo like the Borg have.
It's not as one-shot, but the Omega rep weapon set with the kinetic beam has the 'digitization' torpedo effects on its torpedo like the unimatrix effects if you use a high-yield version.

I always thought torpedo's worked like mines in that quantum was faster then photon. But I don't use photons much and could well be mistaken. What about plasma and Transphasic? They feel slower but I never did real testing.
I was accused of hacking in kerrat once by some blowhard that noticed he was getting killed by my torpedos before the torpedo visually hit him.
Torps aren't tied to the visual projectile that you see.
Not in spread, but in high Yield, yes.
Transphasics, photons, quantum, and all other standard salvo torps travel at the same speed. Plasma, heavy torps, and almost all high yield 'special mode' torps travel at a slower speed. Only the Enhanced bio-molecular torps is different, as it's a heavy that moves at the speed of a salvo.
Anyone still testing out the Terran Rep on Tribble?
Not recently, has anything changed? I might just pop on for 10mins to see how the Maco to part 2 set weapon reload boost works alongside the Terran Rep.
Back to travel speeds I was wrong, apart from the Hargh'peng the basic torpedo's do travel all at the same speed.
Something on both the live server and tribble is boosting the reload speed of all my weapons. My cluster torpedoes are 42 seconds reload, Photos 5.7, Neutronic is 14.3 without the set. Even in a shuttle stripped of gear I have a bonus speed to everything.
EDIT: Didn't realize Intel has a 5% power reload that stacks with Maco. So 10% reload off all weapons. Nice when added with bonus from the Terran Rep.

Learn something new every day. Now, is this MACO or Advanced MACO?

Has anyone checked to see if KLW is considered a torpedo ability for the purposes of Terran T4? Personally I think it's a no brainer but it's never good to go on blind assumption.

That would be a "no", but lets wait until it hits Holodeck before we give a 'final' answer.

I knew using Kinetics would be playing the game on hard mode, but what I didn't realize was how bad the deck is stacked against Kinetics.
