The Jem'Hadar set and the old Reman shield..... But the Reman shield is now a set piece that you get from rep. The Jem shield..... That's the reward from Boldly they Rode, and that mission is a great way to test the durability of your ship....
I'm pretty sure the revamped Romulan Mystery arc still gives you a non-rep version of the Reman shield that's blue XI instead of purple XII. It does have the Reman skin visual effect.

And I never said otherwise did I?
That does not change the fact it is a rep item, mark, rairty, changes nothing about it being a REPUTATION ITEM. Just like if they offered Mark 11 blue omega gear as part of the Borg arc mission, you could not use that as justification for other mission based ground sets offering visuals, because it is still a rep item, and thus, gets visuals because it is a rep item.
Whereas non rep based ground items, such as the Jam Hadar ground set, and the Imperial Romulan ground set, don't give visuals naturally because they are not rep sets.
Does that clear it up for you? Or do I need to hold your hand while you use the restroom as well?
The Reman shield PREDATES the Romulan Rep. So the fact that they later added to the rep means that point is invalid.
The Jem'Hadar space set offers visuals. The ground sets and costume unlocks are not directly relevant to a discussion of space sets and ship visuals.
Flinging insults does not strengthen your arguments though it does reveal your character.
You do understand that the Reman shield (and its visual effects) predates the reputation system, right?
So yes, there were precedences for shield visuals on mission rewards.

Yes. And then it was made a rep item, and then both the Solane and Kobali sets didn't do anything, showing that, no, there is no precedent for such a thing.
I don't think precedent means what you think it means.
You can use those two sets as precedent that the Sol set could've gone either way, but not that the Reman shields weren't a precedent.
.. oh why am I bothering you just like picking fights with everyone.

I don't think he plays the same game we do, he doesn't even live in the same reality.
The Solaena set has engine visuals I think. The Kaboli set is the only one without any as far as I'm aware.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

The engines did have visuals, which is why people thought Cryptic might go all out in honor of the most significant mission in the entire game.
Reman Prototype Covariant Shield Array says differently.

*sigh*
Don't you see the item as a mission reward? (Colosseum, Romulan arc in case you are wondering) maybe you should check your *sight*.
The Breen shield has visuals.
Indeed. It has shield visuals that look more Borg than the assimilated visuals.

Indeed, it makes your ship look Breen:
It changes nacelle's color to green and hull's plating to Breen, and the engines have visuals too.

Oh! the irony.
