Of all the most popular crime inspired businesses in fiction, who's would of been the most powerful? But to be fair to earth based ones, this takes place during the DS9 era of star trek.

I don't know about most of them but the Hutts have fleets, Bobba Fett, and a super weapon (thankfully in the EU that was scrubbed).

Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

    Ferengi OP.

"He shall be my finest warrior, this generic man who was forced upon me.
Like a badass I shall make him look, and in the furnace of war I shall forge him.
he shall be of iron will and steely sinew.
In great armour I shall clad him and with the mightiest weapons he shall be armed.
He will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight him.
He shall have such tactics, strategies and machines that no foe will best him in battle.
He is my answer to cryptic logic, he is the Defender of my Romulan Crew.
He is Tovan Khev... and he shall know no fear."

Lexcorp: owned by Lex Luthor, supermans arch nemesis, hes basically an evil tony stark...with power armor and super weapons, connected just as much as the kingpin.

Ferengi Trade franchise: ...ferengi traders, a legion of greedy and shamless opportunists with a fleet of ships equal to the enterprise D

Hutt Cartell: a crime syndicate, a scifi mofia that owns a large spread of the outter rim

KIngpins Crime syndicate: like the Hutts but he generally employs super humans and researches like the imperial scientists in SW

CZerka: picture Walmart as a well funded galactic empire, owned by james bond style villains

Shadaloo: General M Bisons crime organisation, he has a vast army with the most advanced tech in the world, and employs some of the most powerful street fighters as assassins

Zorg: the Lex Luther clone from the movie 5th Element, only he has no conscious or power armor.

Cobra: terrorist organisation, striving for world domination. Has powerful weapnry and a vast army, including immortals, ninjas and modern military weapons and vehicles...with lasers and blasters!

Hydra: Like Cobra only less showy and more infiltrated into governments for under the table funding

OCP: worlds most dominant industrial power in the robocop future, they pretty much own the citys, police, gangs, criminals, products...citizens lives and well everything! they have what seems like unlimited resources for scientific and cybernetic development

The Hutts, definitely. They owned Tatooine, and half the galaxy.

Czerka does not even have a place on the same list. Although, I do have at least some measure of respect for Czerka for what they wanted to do with Telos. But to be fair, I always will favour the Ithorians in that particular matter.
I completed a 2-man CSE, ISE, and KASE, Optionals included. And I soloed Winter Invasion.

Believe it or not, in KOTOR's backstory the Hutts were a superpower before the Galactic Republic formed. (But I agree with @artan42: the heck with Darksaber.)

Jean-Baptiste Emmanuel Zorg, of course. And by the way i think that the Merovingian from Matrix deserves to be in your list too.

The rest of the names on that list can barely lock up the city they reside in without harassment from some kid in a Halloween costume. The Hutts business spans the galaxy. While technically the Ferengi match the range of the Hutt's, they aren't feared and you can't have proper power without fear.

The problem with the Hutts is the same as the Orion Syndicate... They're too predictable. That and they're almost a sovereign state in their own right. So they're not really a business. They're more a sinister political entity.

the Orion Syndicate....i forgot to add them. =U.U=
...but now that i think of it, they are very shaky in organisation, and a few on the list would probably end up buying and integrating them into their own ranks like some of the biker gangs did in RL, they would vanish to swell an others army.

where's the orion syndicate? how the hell do you post something like this in a star trek forum and NOT list one of star trek's BIGGEST criminal orginizations as an option?
Like special weapons from other Star Trek games? Wondering if they can be replicated in STO even a little bit? Check this out: https://forum.arcgames.com/startrekonline/discussion/1262277/a-mostly-comprehensive-guide-to-star-trek-videogame-special-weapons-and-their-sto-equivalents

    A. They lose to the Hutts because Hutts have hyperdrive.

    B. They were disqualified from a discussion of criminal organizations when they signed a treaty with Chancellor J'mpok the Honorless and got upgraded into a rogue state.

    Pick one.

Well, all I know is that for as many times as COBRA was engaged by Team GI Joe, they were never really shot...

kinda like mystic knights of tir na nog, they all came out to the battle field made a bunch of noise and went home...some machinery was destroyed, and unfriendly banter but they all lived.....well there was that one time Bazooka stood up and was hit by a stationary turret, but does jumping infront of the shot count??

Well mainframe was hit by an explosion too, but got a kiss from the Baroness, and they fell in love from then on they where technically a couple...too bad Destro! XD
