Dilithium mining minigame inaccuracy issues

It's been a at least 6 months if not more since I played and wanted to use up some of my Rich dilithium claims. Normally I would use the arrow keys as I've always done before back when I played before, simple taps would move the reticle precisely using quick taps every movement ingame would be equal. Now though when I do the mini game the reticle is all over the place when tapping the movement keys, one accurate move might go 10 degrees left or right but the next might go 20, 30 or even more with the exact same tap. The same goes for the reticle size as well, was something changed this year with the mining minigame or am I having the only one with this problem? Is there any way to regain this accuracy that was once a normal back when I played before through some setting or something else?
