Can not log into game.

Every time I've tried to log in the past couple days it takes a good 3 minutes to register my characters. After I pick one it takes a while to bring up the character so I can even hit play. After that it sits for another 2 minutes before taking me back out to the log in screen. Anyone have a fix if it is a local problem... You whould think that for paying for life time I would be able to at least log in on the weekends...
