STO outage

It is 7:23 pm on the 29th of August and on the East Coast of the U.S. we still have no STO. At least it is that way in the part of Pennsylvania that I live in. I think PWE needs to get off of their collectives rear-ends and get this issue solved. I sure hope that the Crystalline Catastrophe will be extended by another 24 to 48 hours. I have lost the ability to do this PWE for the last days.
I know it isn't my laptop computer because the desktop computer is also having connectivity issues and someone I know the plays the game in the same neighborhood that I live in is experiencing the same issue.

im in Chicago and having the same problem here and don't seem like nothing is being done to fix it not even a post to let everyone know there working on it . a joke if you ask me

Bothering the hell out of me, as I was away on business and had TRIBBLE internet a week. So now there is just today and tomorrow and I need 2 more shards. They need to give us extra days for this

Once the launcher opens, try going to options and selecting "EU" for the patching and gameplay proxy. Some people have had some success with this (I have). Some others have mentioned there are backbone network issues in the US the past two days that aren't within PWE's control, but happen to be impacting them very severely.​​

I live in GA. I have been trying to log in off and on all day with no luck. launcher takes for ever to load go to the character screen takes forever to load the I get booted from sever timed out all from 3:00p est to now 11:36 est

2 hours of staring at nothing but load screens until I get disconnected.

Its now 11:47 on the 29th and still not able to get connected. Still getting the Timein2 message.

It's funny how when you can't log in to this game...you want to more than ever. Seems like it's been malfunctioning since Thursday's shard maintenance. Just got worse until you can't log on at all. I'm in Boston and I've read similar stories from all over the country. Looks like nobody's home at the game maintenance department. I guess we'll all be dusting off those other games we've neglected lately.

I managed to get on and complete the Crystalline Entity- although I'm not sure how. My ship only got close enough to fire once, then it just twitched and shifted it's way around the screen. Someone destroyed the entity and I got 130 marks...lol. Congrats to Arc for making the game totally unplayable.

So here I am, Boston Area, at the launcher, which takes FOREVER to load. Server status says green, But I freeze, no progress logging in at all. AGAIN.

This is nothing new for me, It's been happening on a weekly basis for me now, on the weekends for the past month.

Started on Sunday afternoons, (peak times ?), now it's pretty much the whole weekend.

Off times during the week, no problems.

Other non PWE/CRYPTIC games I play, no problems.

STO, can't log on the weekend. AGAIN. Lifetime player here.

Cryptic, are you having capacity issues?

Just timed out; "UNABLE TO LOG INTO ACCOUNT SERVER"..

Okay, so why has it been only affecting me on the weekends? I've been able to log on all week.

This is not recent either, this has been going on at peek times on and off, on the weekends, for at least a month now.

Maybe this other situation is exacerbating things, I don't know, but like gholendhor states; Silence from Cryptic/PWE = EXTREEM frustration.

I mean i am on the west coast and it is completely unplayable. something like this should be up on the front page, not hidden in the forums.

Agree with all the previous statements. Im on the South East coast and I can log in on Arc, then launch the game. I get in the game and can play for a few minutes at most before I start to lag out (server issue). This goes on for about 120 seconds or more the suddenly it catches back up and since this happens in battle, usually means I'm dead or about to be. Then, when it does kick me off I try to immediately log back in and it says the user name/email and password that I have used previously is invalid. So I have to close the game out, wait for the launcher to load (several minutes) then click engage. Since im still logged into ARC's website I go straight into my character screen, well most of the time anyway. I was also a lifetime subscriber. Can you imagine if this happened to a brand new player? They'd never touch this thing again. What the hell is wrong with this game? Why couldnt Cryptic just keep the game and not sell it off or whatever it did. Ever since PW showed up it went to TRIBBLE.

You know, It's really damned funny that I can still stream video through Netflix and play other non PWE games. Level three isn't affecting THEM....

It's also REALLY funny that I'm still capable of purchasing zen.
