help! unable to get STO to work!!

I can't seem to play the game at all! I'm uninstalled and reinstalled a few times already and each time this TRIBBLE keeps happening in the picture below! it's maddening! PLEASE HELP ME! heck I'd even be willing to give stuff I got in-game to make this work so I can play...I just don't know what else to do!

Hey @alexnt02 sorry to hear you're having the issue. I had this myself a while back, and it seems to be caused if you (or the game) have your Video set to "Auto."

Best workaround is to load the game in safe mode, Access the options menu, go to video, and change the card option from Auto to Direct X9.

Save the change and exit the game. Then reload in standard mode, and gradually increase your fidelity settings.
