I'm wondering how a Bajoran ended up leading the TERRAN Empire.
Would you believe assassination of the former leader followed by a declaration of usurpation?
Considering that the relationship between the Bajorans and humans in the mirror universe is the same as the relationship between the Bajorans and Cardassians in the prime universe, except with the added bonus of the Bajorans having enslaved their former masters, and that the Empire in STO has fallen back on old habits?
You know what could be better than good-looking older Mirror!Leeta as Fleet Admiral?
That, plus good-looking older Mirror!Janeway piloting Warship ISS Voyager as a hammy final boss of the Mirror universe battlezone. With Warship Voyager as a playable reward for grinding it.
Considering Warship Voyager was a Prime universe creation that wont exist for centuries...don't see Warship Voyager happening logically...especially as a Mirror universe creation...since they don't seem to alter our designs much except for cosmetic.
Actually, it won't exist at all, since it's actually a erroneous recreation based on biased records from several centuries. But that'd be a nice nod...
Warship Voyager , why not? If we have Dauntless, which in tv series is only an illusion, and in addition, that episode with WV was great.
For OP. Mirror Leeta looks correct, remember, this is 25. century, human lifespan 140 years, better meds and cosmetics, "invisible" plastic surgery.
For all the excuses you can make for her not looking old, the fact that they age male characters but not female ones makes clear that the reason is this and only this;

140 years during TNG-VOY time in our universe, who knows how much people can live in the mirror universe, with 29th century and Iconian tech, specially powerful people, admirals might be essentially immortal and forever young.
Considering humans can live to be 130+ years old in the 24th century, I would say 70 is no longer that old.
Certainly Picard didn't seem to be slowing down all that much by Nemesis, and he was 74 at the time.
Exactly. I don't understand why people have to complain about such details. Medical technology is 395 years more advanced and yet they still think 70 is "old".
100% agreed here. its logical to assume that 300+ years in the future we'll have more advanced medical science.
My human main character is in her 30's yet looks like a young 20something. She's simply a healthy human by 25th century standards.
"He shall be my finest warrior, this generic man who was forced upon me.
Like a badass I shall make him look, and in the furnace of war I shall forge him.
he shall be of iron will and steely sinew.
In great armour I shall clad him and with the mightiest weapons he shall be armed.
He will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight him.
He shall have such tactics, strategies and machines that no foe will best him in battle.
He is my answer to cryptic logic, he is the Defender of my Romulan Crew.
He is Tovan Khev... and he shall know no fear."
Honestly not just teenagers, I know I'm supposed to prefer Leeta as really old just to be fair to the male characters, but I don't, I'd lying if I said I did. I make no apologies for my sexuality, nor do I seek approval, my nature is what it is and anything else is just pretense and psychological denial on my part.
Voyager also had ample time to take detailed scans and schematics from the Dauntless, which actually did work as a slipstream ship.
So it certainly makes sense that Starfleet would imitate that hull geometry when designing their own.
Enterprise also suggested that Starfleet did build a real Dauntless at some point by reusing the model as a future Starfleet starship.
Now, as far as Warship Voyager goes, it CAN exist. But all that is required is that the 31st century Kyrians got the details wrong.
My nutshell pitch is this:
Caption: The 31st Century. Sol System.
We have a cinematic with the 31st Century Doctor from that episode being greeted upon return to the Alpha Quadrant by a couple of 31st Century Temporal Agents. He is warmly welcomed and tells them how he set the record straight with the Kyrians. "Can you believe it? This is what they thought Voyager looked like!" He shows a display of the Warship Voyager. "Fortunately, I was there to set the record straight."
One of the time agents turns back to the Doctor and says, "Oh. I see. The Kyrians apparently got the 24th century Voyager incident confused with a SECOND contact incident in 2410 where Section 31 deposed the Kyrian reform government to keep the Delta Alliance intact. A refit Intrepid of this configuration was used in the assault. One of Starfleet's best captains died that day in the crossfire..."
The Doctor becomes impatient: "This isn't right. This isn't what the Starfleet I knew stood for. Wait. Tell me, what was the name of the captain who died...?"
The 31st century Temporal Agent replies: <Insert Player Captain Name here.>

Even if some of their continued youth might be due to medical enhancement - why would the ST Universe be any different? Cosmetic alteration was a big part of storylines from TOS days right through TNG, DS9 and Voyager for the purposes of missions so the skills were still in use.
From what I recall the big thing keeping the Federation from doing cosmetic alteration was a mix of aversion to genetic engineering (which I'm not sure why the Terrans would have) and having culturally overcome vanity.
Patrick Stewart has frequently been asked why there's no baldness cure in the 24th century. His answer has always been, "In the 24th century, no one cares."
The Terrans are a lot different. I mean, they actually made midriff baring JUMPSUITS because, for them, form is more important than function.
Mirror Picard would probably have a full head of hair or at least a really bad toupee. :-)
The Terrans owe more to the less benign earth traditions such as cultures where a king might be put to death by young rivals for the crime of infirmity. Viking actually did put the very old out to die but there is a fantasy literature trope (which I'm not sure has any real world basis) of kings being sentenced to death for having a SINGLE gray hair. Seen in Tom Robbins' Jitterbug Perfume, James Jones' The Last Viking: Wilhelm's Thousand-Year Quest to Regain Valhalla, a couple others.
The trope is a sci-fi/fantasy trope (which I suspect has folklore roots I haven't run across yet). A Viking/German/Bohemian (ie. Czech) king or chieftan is sentenced to death for having a single gray hair. He escapes his sentence and seeks out immortality (which he acquires), takes an exotic lover, and sets out to change the world over centuries of trials while suffering under a curse of some kind before at last resolving to change himself. There is a related Buddhist folktale about a leader who retires after finding a single gray hair and devotes several thousand years to meditation.
Incidentally, Flint from Star Trek probably qualifies as a close cousin of the trope and comics are full of these figures, usually warlords who start out hotheaded and grow increasingly zen, encountering or posing as famous historical figures, usually with some kind of tragic love story with a happy ending and/or a rival immortal or time traveler they are in a feud with.
Since we have the IDEA, I can easily accept the Terrans treating any sign of age as an excuse to assassinate their leaders.

In the same scene that suggested that the Vor'cha and Prometheus will be in service for a couple of centuries. The same show that shows the Steamrunner and K't'inga in service in the 22nd century?
It's reused CGI in the distance to fill space, it's not a serious indication that it would be recognised.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

I'm wondering how a Bajoran ended up leading the TERRAN Empire.
As far as I know, she only leads the military. I seem to recall her mentioning an emperor in Counterpoint.
As for the age issue and Els Renora...
Leeta is still roughly 30 years away from being 100 and we don't know when the visual part of the aging process starts for Bajorans. For real life humans, it's at about 30. Believe me, I know...
Of course there are anomalies like Keanu Reeves who doesn't seem to age at all. He must be an android or maybe the Matrix IS real...

I think the correct answer is, "No way in Hell."

It may have been an illusion, but it was a very thorough and convincing illusion. Arturis pretty much designed a star ship in his bid to get revenge.
So it certainly makes sense that Starfleet would imitate that hull geometry when designing their own.
