Lohlunat Tribble breeds while being equipped

As far as I know, the tribbles can't breed while being equipped, but still - the lohlunat tribble actually does. First he ate 5 jars of the rokassa juice and left me jist one tribble instead (and I thought that it might me a one-time-bug), and now it drank 3 bottles of kanar and did exactly the same. My cardassian heart is bleeding.
True enough is my favourite kind of lie.

    Ah, yes, need to add: the cryo tribble does the same. Maybe some others do that too? And still - not fixed.

    Quick q. Do you have the food equipped as well, or is that in your inventory? I've had this happen to me if I had both food and a tribble equipped. And in that case yes, it would consume all the food/drink but leave only one tribble behind.

    That's the issue. As far as I know (and already said) tribbles do not breed while being equipped (or am I misinformed?) - if the food is equipped too. But several of them (the lohlunat, the winter and the cryo ones are the ones I noticed to do so) actually do, that's it.

    Well, in this case it's not a new bug. It's been happening to me, with ordinary tribbles to, since I started playing which was back in March. Not saying it isn't a bug, just that it's been around for a while in that case.

    Anyone have info on this?

    They've always bread if you put food on the same toon where you're holding the tribble. Anyway, it's not like food in this game has any value.

    I didn't have these issues with ordinary tribbles, it occured to me personally with the ones I named only in a half a year. When I started playing, I was reading about how to breed tribbles, and it was said that they cannot breed while being equipped, so I considered it a bug.

    I rechecked sto.gamepedia.com/Guide:_Tribble_Breeding now, and it states:
    Tribbles can be bred in the player inventory, while equipped on the player or a Bridge Officer, or even in your personal bank. They do not, however, breed in the fleet bank.

    It must be that I wasn't reading that carefully, as I believed I did, or that they fixed the article.
    I wonder only why no one could enlighten me in my ignorance while I put this question in the summer.

    Maybe it didn't get noticed then? If I recall summer correctly we had a lot of TRIBBLE with the changes in the forum and sorting TRIBBLE out with Vanilla and stuff. Your question might have got buried?

    I obviously didn't read that article closely enough either >.<.
