Seeing as We're around 3.6 Million Tickets at the moment....I have to wonder how many Cryptic ACTUALLY investigates and fixes. Going by most posts on this forum...it appears that out of that number, maybe 0.0005% get seen.
First off, it's counting more than 5 years worth of tickets, perhaps even including other games from Cryptic/PWE.
Secondly, there is a chance (a good one) that they are running an algorithm that filters and groups tickets with seemingly similar content, so while they may not look at everyone, chances are all similar ones are getting "some" attention.
On a more personal note: When I worked with tickets, I generally ignored / closed rude and inappropriate tickets, that were clearly written in rage, and I think maybe they are doing the same... Especially if Geko is involved.
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
I suppose. Though there are still quite a few old bugs I'm still noticing that they haven't gotten around to fixing. Such as instancing issues. I'm also wondering if (due to the decreasing popularity of this title) they are being forced to work with what amounts to a skeleton crew for developers.
They are hardly a skeleton crew... From what I can tell, they are pretty well manned.
However, I agree that there are some rather... interesting bugs remaining that could, and probably should, have been fixed a long time ago...
Some are left because certain devs consider them unimportant, some because they offer too little business value compared to the workload involved.
Selling ships and lock-boxes are just better suited to fill a certain unnamed dev's (whos name I may have mentioned earlier) with money than fixing open issues
