It also presented evidence of a new branch of humans.. This has also been evident in the incident with the Enterprise B and the discovery of Species 9042..

*Andoria Orbit, U.S.S. Victorious. Ryan walks into Main Engineering, looking around as the warp core pulsates and hums. He stops a Lt. J.G.*

Lt: Yes sir. She said she was going to adjust the Primary Shield Generator.
Ryan: We only had it adjusted at DS9 last week.

*A few minutes later, Ryan is in Deflector Control, walking along the catwalks towards the Shield Generator, seeing Dannover in one of the maintenance hatches.*
You know, Chief Thalas already assured me the shield generator was at peak efficiency.

Dannover: With respect, sir, Chief Thalas is used to working with a Federation shield generator tacked onto a Cardassian Power System using Bajoran fuel sources. He's lucky if he manages 70% efficiency.
Ryan: And how did he do here?
Dannover: 82%. With a few tweaks, I've gotten it up to 85%. If I can be permitted to start rewiring the power systems in here and interlace the deflector and defence shields together, I can get it to 90%.
Ryan: That would be impressive. Wouldn't you need to disconnect the shields to do that?
Dannover: Yes sir. But, since we're not on call...
Ryan: Right now. I'm calling Admiral Ross in an hour to check our mission parameters. If you can improve efficiency without disconnecting the shields, by all means, but otherwise you'll have to wait until we pull into spacedock.
Logan fires the rifle at a target passing through the shields.

She takes the rifle aiming it at another group of targets firing in quick succession.
Logan: well I was able to get the rifle to be able to detect what shield frequency the target is using. You have to manually integrate the scanner that I had to make for it but I think it may just work.
Sarah: this is amazing. See told you you'd figure something out.

*USS Khitomer, the ship is no longer on guard duty. It is maintaining a presence watching the growing Borg Presence in Klingon Space as it nears the Federation border. The talks have been off and on as the Klingon Empire and Federation have seen their fair share of combat.. The shape shifters seem to be present trying to drive a wedge into the talks. Captain Allen has grown into his role as has his crew.*
*Captain Allen is heading to the bridge as the crew salutes on his way..*
Shelana: Captain Allen report to the bridge.. We are detecting something odd within the Borg border.
Chris: I am on my way.

Reedus: An interesting notion. But concern is in the Federation that we may have inflitrators bent on destroying us. Worf appears to have been correct. However, the Borg are a growing problem as are the Klingon agitators that still thirst for war. My view is let the Borg start crushing them into paste enough before we start helping.
Drake: Doing that would be reckless. The longer the Borg are allowed to freely attack the Klingons, the stronger they become. At this point, the Klingon's will make peace with the Federation eventually, but the Borg are a much greater threat.

Reedus: As you all are no doubt aware, we have started to scour the evidence we recovered from the scene of Vega.. The technology was indeed not of this time period but one from another. It also presented evidence of a new branch of humans.. This has also been evident in the incident with the Enterprise B and the discovery of Species 9042..
Mannered Man: I hardly see how that gives any credence to humanity being greater than it is..
Reedus: The shapeshifter at the heart of the matter has been genetically coded with a use however.. It is easily cloned and can be upgraded easily. It is a perfect weapon and tool for us to use. But the oddity was the capsule recovered from its ashes. It contained DNA that was highly interesting as if it was a fail safe. A capsule with DNA that is human but enhanced and somewhat different.
