Chris: As for why it did not assimilate me, the doctor is still trying to figure that out.

Chris: From the Entity, the Enterprise B came across them. They were a scout to explore past the Great Barrier. When the crew tried to examine it, the entity could not understand what was going on and assimilated the ship... However when they assimilate they take in the data and experiences of the crew.. but with no real filter to understand it... They were stuck with information they couldn't use.
So they were left adrift in this area of space trying to get going.
When we came along they perceived it as an attack on them.. like the first time. But their assimilation of me caused some sort of telepathic event in my mind.. Which fixed the filter issue.. that caused the ship to stop attacking.
Eight: That still doesnt make up for all the people they murdered.
Chris: So your solution was to outright blow them up and show that we are as bad as Klingons? Besides we would not survive a conflict with them Eight..
Eight: You're ignoring my reasoning. I saw them as they were at the time a threat to the federation. At that moment they had only shown hostility and had murdered the Enterprise's crew.
Chris: Selective hearing I would say.. Also fallacious reasoning... the only way they could communicate is with a telepath that could get past their make up.. Can't touch them its an automatic assimilation.. There was Zero way to communicate with them a century ago..
That way of thinking is also why there was hostility.

We believe iconian gateway technology can be used on a smaller level allowing gateways or conduits to be opened to numerous locations allowing for instant transport. Very useful things for a number of things. We have studied all the gateway know to starfleet and have had access to very secret information to be Abe to do this right. We believe we can begin to work on making stable pathways to transport people. We will be working on this over the next few days.
