    DS9
Where were all you DS9 fans when it came to Cryptic's poll on what to expand on?

We could have been in the middile of the Gamma Quadrant dealing with Jem'Hadar, changlings, Vorta and Karemma now!

Can't speak for the others, but I hadn't joined the game yet when that poll was around.

I think I either voted for DS9 or ENT. I forget, it was a long time ago.

Archer + NX-01 all the way.

"He shall be my finest warrior, this generic man who was forced upon me.
Like a badass I shall make him look, and in the furnace of war I shall forge him.
he shall be of iron will and steely sinew.
In great armour I shall clad him and with the mightiest weapons he shall be armed.
He will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight him.
He shall have such tactics, strategies and machines that no foe will best him in battle.
He is my answer to cryptic logic, he is the Defender of my Romulan Crew.
He is Tovan Khev... and he shall know no fear."

DS9, it was trek but it showed a darker side to the 24th Century and that things are not perfect as TNG would have us believe

"The meaning of victory is not to merely defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can ever recover. That is the meaning of victory."

      WTF, DS9 was/is terrible

almost every Trekkie I have ever meet in real life hates DS9... Ugliest Space Station ever, bad acting, very bad production quality and story plots, not worth rewatching more than once a decade, Ugly cast members, bad Special Effects....

Everyone loves TNG Voyager and Enterprise....

Someone with a few dozen fake accounts must have done fake votes on DS9 here

Who cares about a show that didn't even have any Borg episodes in it... oh yeah the Pilot was half good thanks to the new TNG Best of Both Worlds scenes made for it... seeing Pickard as Locutus again was awesome... after that I was let down and uninterested in it... at the time it was on TV I didn't care about missing episodes or even watching it... only years later I have re-watched all of DS9 in a Marathon and I don't think I would ever waste my time doing it again,,,

Well Lucky JJ Universe Deleted DS9 so that never happened now...

The only TV show that's still true and canon is Enterprise...

The best Quality show with highest Production standards was Enterprise

Voyager and Seven of Nine are second best only let down by Kate Mulgrew not been Linda Hamilton like it should and poor 4:3 aspect ratio.

P.S if you want a good Sci Fi with a Space Station watch Babylon 5... because Babylon 5 is so awesome it makes Deep Space Nine look like complete TRIBBLE to every real life person I have ever meet who likes Sci Fi...

I just read others comments and cannot even understand your points about DS9 all seem totally invalid...

The Dominion war was boring compared to Babylon 5's epic wars

We saw more than enough of Warf in TNG

They got rid of the sexy Juggs ear chick at the end... oh no she went to a different show that had actual ratings...

the DS9 / Cardassian Mission's in STO are the worst and I wish half would be deleted, I can't stand em... only the last one with the Enterprise F is good... Thankfully the developers have said they will be "revamping it soon" ...

      - don't get me wrong I love all Trek

@timofborg Oh that's cute. Clearly the actual evidence of the poll don't dissuade you?

Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

      real evidence?

I have administered Forums in the past, I know how easy it is for people to cast more than one vote... most forums allow revoting after 24 hours

I run my own poll on facebook... so far no votes for DS9 on this poll

      TNG
It comes down to TNG and DS9 for me. I like the cast of TNG much better, hell DS9 had to rent two of them, but I do prefer DS9's arcs and serial style of episodes.

TNG did get a bit heavy handed and preachy at times, but DS9 had its drawbacks as well (Bajorans).

In the end I would choose TNG. My list is:

      TNG
      DS9
      ENT
      VOY

TOS is excluded from consideration. I'm only 31 and never saw it during the initial run.
ENT and VOY both suffer from the same problem -- nice premise but bad execution. ENT gets the nod because it at least attempted something new (assuming the crew's incompetence was intentional). Also, Threshold.

I voted for Enterprise, and am clearly in the minority. However, I see that many who chose DS9 had Enterprise as 2nd choice, so I guess I'm not entirely in the minority.

The reasoning for my vote is this: the characters weren't perfect (unlike TNG). The ship was severely out matched, and suffered accordingly (unlike TNG/VOY/DS9, where the ship is always pulled out of insanely unbalanced situations somehow). But most importantly, the issues they faced seemed much more real and fitting for a ship that was alone, out exploring the unknown. There wasn't some kind of anomaly of some kind lurking around in every episode (TNG, VOY), where the problem is fixed by miracle technobabble and on-the-spot fixes filled with more technobabble (damn you, various non-existent subatomic particles!)

Believe me, after I saw all the praise for DS9, I tried to watch it. After many attempts, I still can't bring myself to eagerly watch the next episode. I've tried all the seasons. No dice. Voyager was too much like TNG, but with more plot armor and even more technobabble and the same nonsensical conflicts. TOS is way to cheesy for me, never could watch more than 2 episodes at a time. But Enterprise? Enterprise hits all the right notes for me.
