yes, it is similar. The NX-02 is a ENT era Miranda... seen in Star Trek: Legacy Video game.

Um... no. I think you're thinking the Poseidon class. The NX-02 was the Columbia, which was the same class as the NX-01 Enterprise. They did share the same parts however. Kinda like the Miranda sharing Constitution parts.
looking at the posiedon... I'd say your right it is a start at the Miranda... I am still new to this level of model building... I started with sort of a flat construction and have now reached (a bit of a stretch still) creating projects like this one. I have a frigate which came first (in my production line) that looks like a cross between a federation frigate and a romulan warbird, I could clip the upper deck and it look sort of like a soverign... again, still new to this. they are all fabricated out of left over packaging and covered with a thin layer.

That's alright. As a fanfiction writer, I understand. Gotta start somewhere. If you don't have any reference pics, might want to get some. And keep trying. Ask for constructive critisim so you can find areas you need to improve on, and don't get discouraged.
Personally, the Poseidon-Class is one of my favourite classes from Legacy. I'm not sure why, but I've just always liked the design. It's also in that strange position where it's ranked below the NX and yet has a heavier armament...
