Ship Customization Drop Downs not working.

As of today I can no longer get the drop down windows in ship customization to function for any of my ships.

I cannot change material, parts, window type, anything.

    Is this on your fed toons? The customization is working on my Rommie and KDF toons.

    Yeah I have the same problem on my Fed toons they need to fix this ASAP. So stupid.

    it works as expected on kdf, and is broken on feds?

    For me, it works on some ships but not others. For example, I wasn't able to change anything on my Odyssey Tac cruiser, but was able to change stuff on my Aquarius just fine.

    Same here. The majority of my ships can't be edited at all now.

    I am now having this issue as well. I even junked and replaced the ship in question (it was the tier 4 Venture-Galaxy refit for the engineering character I'm levelling) and still nothing. Logging in and out did nothing. Quitting the game and restarting it again did nothing.

    It's happening on at least one of my Fed-Eng characters as well...

    Don't you just love it? Instead of getting increased customization with more color options, we've lost all customization whatsoever - colors, patterns, parts, materials...
    Between this and the mess with the character tailor, this is shaping up to look like a bad year for the Summer Event - maybe as bad as this last Winter Event where we couldn't even claim the prizes until the thing was almost over...

    I'll second this. So far is seems Fed Command Cruisers and Pilot Escorts work, but neither the Fed Battle Cruiser or Ambassador-class can be altered. Changes made prior to the patch are retained, you just can't change anything.

    It's working on the pilot escort i just bought for my fed; maybe only already owned ships are bugged?

    this is really fracked up. i was able to custmize my ops command battlecruiser but the mirror escort i got was totally locked(?) out for abetter lack of term. it was nice seeing so many new collors but then this happens, what next, the increase the number of hull patterns and we loose everything? :mad::mad::mad::mad:


    side note and question, does anyone know what the forth console in the command battlecruiser (CBC) set really is and where to find it.

    T5-U Dreadnaught Fed side doesn't work also.

    Wasn't able to modify a new ship that I just bought. Can still edit my others ships. Zero problem on kdf, didn't try on romulans.
    side note and question, does anyone know what the forth console in the command battlecruiser (CBC) set really is and where to find it.

    Don't think you can find it more, it is the console from the Kobali Samsar Cruiser.
    I am from Belgium and english isn't my main language, sorry if I make mistakes.

    It seems the problem come from the logo. After I changed it to "fleet logo" I was able to customize my ship.
    I am from Belgium and english isn't my main language, sorry if I make mistakes.

    Found this is not working on my account too. I just logged a support ticket as i thought it was really odd and missed this forum board when reading earlier. I've not been able to change any ships in one of my toons at all (Fed Sci)- old ones that were modified couldn't even be changed i discovered trying to investigate; I thought it might have been the infamous the 'rename ship' customize glitch originally but upon wasting the credits to rename one of the ships i have from the c-store, it didn't fix nothing. I agree that it probably has something to do with the latest patch as a new ship I was fiddling with yesterday was modifiable beforehand. Ship's i've tried was Destiny Class, Scryer Class, Nova Class, Ambassador Class. Gave up at that point.

    I have the same problem

    Cant edit any Ship.. at least on Fed Toons.. have to try KDF and Romulan

    I also get the "outfit uses invalid Parts" Error when i hit purchase



    P.S I tried it on Rom and KDF toons and everything works fine

    also i noticed FED Shuttles work fine too.. just any ship wont.

    what if it works on klingons because it was only changed on feds, while klinks and roms still run on the old system?

    that wouldn't be a first, see risa's entry/exit where klinks still can't access classic beach and when leaving they go into old sector space.

    also i found that pressing the randomize button fixed some of the dropdown menu problems for me. only fleet emblem refused to change, but colors, patterns, risian glows and such changed just fine after that.
    Now clowns, that's another story. They scare the cr​ap out of me.
    We fight them too. Entire armies spilling out of Volkswagens.
    We do our best to fight them off, but they keep sending them in.

    Yes I am federation as well. Tactical officer.

    The ship I was trying to modify was the Fleet Dreadnought Cruiser, but my other T6 ships seemed borked as well. All cruisers, not sure if that means anything. People on fleet said escorts where broken to.

    TEMP FIX: Changing to fleet logo allows me to change parts again in advanced, but I still cannot change anything in basic mode.

    Tried on a Fleet Pathfinder and nothing worked at all.

    However it did all work fine on a Voth Heavy Fighter I had as a shuttlecraft.

    Here too. Tried customizing a ship, at Earth Spacedock on Fed toon, but no parts would change, randomize didn't work, and exiting the customization area got me "Outfit uses invalid parts".

    Hey guys, thanks for the reports! We're looking into this right now - in the meantime, if it is possible to change your ship's fleet emblem in the Advanced category, that should allow you to work around this issue and use some of the ship tailor's functionality.
    Today is a good day to fix bugs.

    A lot of the options on the Faeht don't seem to work. Like the windows are locked to the presets.

    Hm... This is interesting - don't know if it will help.

    Character was Drake@turbomagnus - a Human Male Fed-Tac.

    I tested four ships - the 'free' Yellowstone that was given away... summer 2013, I think; the free Patrol Escort that you can choose at Lvl 40, a C-Store Avenger Battlecruiser and a C-Store Heavy Escort Carrier.

    The Patrol Escort and the un-upgraded Avenger refused to accept any changes. Even though I could alter the Bridge and Interior settings in the ship tailor, as soon as I tried to purchase and exit I got a fly-in stating "This outfit uses invalid parts". The odd thing though is that I then actually tried going to my Avenger's interior and the bridge had changed to the new selection despite the fly-in...

    The Yellowstone runabout, however, I could change the pattern, colors, hull material - all no problem.

    The HEC I had claimed from the C-Store back during the T5 Ship Sale (with free upgrade token) event on this character so that it would be already unlocked for when another character reached the proper level, it had been sitting around on Drake@turbomagnus since then. I had claimed the upgrade token on the other character and upgraded their's... so, on a whim, I claimed the free upgrade on Drake@turbomagnus' HEC today while I was testing...
    The now-upgraded T5-U HEC edits fine in the ship tailor - colors, parts, patterns, hull material, all of it.

    I'm not sure what - if any - help this information would be, but I thought I'd pass it along.

    It still does not save correctly, even using this method. I guess we will need to wait for a hotfix.

    Hmm, just customized my new T6 Bug ship, and there were no problems whatsoever. Just sayin'.

    Seems to only be affecting federation vessels.

    thanks for the info ( see post #15 for details) i looked in the lobi store and its not there. a further check shows it was a qmendation reward. sow as usual, craptic has screwed 99% of the players out of some good hardware for their ships. i was only able to start playing again recently and did not even know that. and when i inquired with craptic, i was told to essentially to get lost and not bother them. boy unable to play for 12 months and come back to this BS. i think i will go pick a fight with a republican, might be more rewarding and fun compared to some of this stupidity. and to think, i used to try to get peeps in my area to start playing or come back to the game.:(
