Part of the reason why they may be sitting on the fence is that lockbox/lobi ships are an absolutely huge source of revenue for them.
I think what it'll end up coming down to is how many people with lockbox/lobi ships have multiples of a non-Temporal ship on their account and how many are still grabbing multiples of that ship.
For instance if there's 10% of the people flying lockbox-lobi ships that have two or more copies of the Vaudwaar ships on their account I don't think they'll really consider it. On the other hand if there's maybe 15% of the people flying lockbox-lobi ships have multiple D'Koras on their account but only 1% of people flying lockbox-lobi ships have more than one copy of one of the Vaudwaar ships on their account and there seems to be even fewer possessing more than one copy of the post-Vaudwaar lockbox/lobi ships they might look at making those ships become account unlocks.
They're looking into something that would allow lock box ships to be used on other characters. It doesn't mean they will implement something, but that they are looking at the possibility. Salami confirmed they are indeed reviewing the idea:
Doesn't every other ship have at least one of these things and often two or more?
If it has Cruiser Command abilities (I'd expect at least Weapon System Efficiency and Attract Fire), shouldn't that be in the blog?
Though it might be cool for this (and certain ships that have a sci/cruiser mix) to have Weapon System Efficiency, Attract Fire, and a third toggle that enables sensor analysis.
The Dyson is the olny "Destroyer" that has a secondary deflector or sensor analysis, and no destroyer uses "Cruiser" commands that I'm aware of though all destroyers can use dual cannons even the Dyson so it seems like sloppy writing or bad planning to call a ship a destoyer and not include dual cannons.
Overall I like the ship personally but have to give info conveyed in the blogs a 5/10.

It would make sense if they did it as maybe some kind of per zen tax, IE: 100 zen for t5, 250 for T6. That way if someone really wanted to have a temporal science vessel on an alt they would probably pay this, and they wouldn't necessarily lose money as it's practically the same as a key.
Personally I hope the Nandi at least has the D'kora's bridge options.

It is *in order* NOt a science ship, It is not a cruiser, it is not a raider it isn't romulan so not singularity core and noe cloak, and its not a carrier
It is a DESTROYER class ship, and has the Destroyer power package with that lovely special 5th power/ability because is tier 6 and special.
You just didn't wanna read the blog didn't ya?
A ship class depend apon it mission, not it load out.
US wet navy destroyers carried torpedo's during WW-II and to the best of my knowledge never ever fired one from 1943 on. In may case the torpedo tubes were removed in refit and replace with additional AA mounts for use in the air defence role against suicide craft in the pacific. Destroyers don't have to carry dual cannons. and it can mount single cannons of course (though they aren't used very often)... it has 8 weapon mounts it doesn't need cannons.
The thing is more assult cruiser like then destroyer...I like the way its set up. Nice stats. There are some sweet little synergies there that only a hand full of star ships... like the KDF Fleet Tor'kaht upgrade. The KDF's tier 6 ships pack more abilities, but none of the tier 6 ships can do what that can do as well as it does it. This is going to be another of those clases that does what it does better then anything like it. It'll be fun.

I second that.... I REALLY want exchange and bank access on my bridge.

I did read the blog. It's never been established that Destroyer = Can Equip Cannons, which was on my list.
And I made the list because some ships straddle categories whether or not the name of the class implies they do.
I'm confused why people are so concerned about cannons when everyone just runs beams with FAW and APB.
Because when I decide whether to get a ship, I look at states of game balance other than the present one. Also, I enjoy combination FAW/cannon builds. The amount of fun I have isn't chained entirely to maximizing DPS in a hypothetical perfect situation.
You know what that means right? That means that some poor sucker is gonna dump countless amounts of Lobi to get the ship day 1 and cross his fingers that it has a bridge and/or you have players grinding for 2-3 weeks to find out the same info.... This is just wrong.
I think any player expecting the same facilities on the free ship, as are on the lockbox ship, are really stretching their optimism. my guess is that the giving us a set bonus with the D'Kora console, will help encourage uptake on some sale or promo.. wether thats zen, keys or some kind of promo pack (including the chance at a D'Kora) i really cant see them giving the biggest feature of the D'Kora away for free.. makes no sense to kill that lockbox.
im not sure i understand.. 'this is just wrong'.. why is it just wrong? its a free ship, the 1st with 6 seats, its an 'interesting design' with not terrible stats, and yeah, its free. if anything is 'just wrong' its the thought process that will lead someone to rush the project in the 'hope' that it has the same bridge, and facilities, as the D'Kora.
im pretty sure those that want the ship early for the ship itself, will be more than happy to inform everyone about the smaller details, so need to worry about all those poor suckers grinding away for 2 or 3 weeks only to find out the bridge is the wrong shade green and has a left handed account bank console.
many of us will happily grind away the 4mins aday to get the ship, with that kind of requirement it could end up being made of paper and failing to fly straight and it would still not be a drama.

List of concerns or list of typos? Imo, destroyers in general don't turn well enough to merit using cannons anyways (compared to the Bulwark, for example, however, would be more practical). But that's beside the point and, like you said, it's a warship which is a sub-category of destroyer so IF the Nandi can't equip cannons. That could be one reason why.
As has been probably pointed out upthread, the Vetran ships are ALL destroyers (Chimera, etc) And can mount DHCs, etc.
Was hopin for a while for a Vulcan science ship, But this is cool too. Thanks, my Science Character
has somethin else to play with.
Like the Sarr Theln, it has the consoles and seating to make use of Science, but lacks that Secondary Deflector; depending on just how much "oomph" the console adds, this may or may not come anywhere near the neighborhood of being a good Science option. It could still do reasonably as a Sciscort with Science flavoring, though. It just depends on what you were aiming for with that Science Character. It's definitely going to get its real "oomph" from its weapons rather than Science, though, so plan accordingly.
With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.

its not like they whipped this ship up yesterday, a minimum of testing should have been done at least to see if the model worked in sector space, etc.
having a whole blog about an aftrificial imitation latinum coated bridge and then not knowing if it has a bridge just seems odd. [to put it nicely]
Also the fact that typo or not it doesn't mention that it can use dual cannons or not seems sloppy.

Nope.... what gave you that idea?

Are the amenities on that bridge included? or is it a bare bones version?
I second that.... I REALLY want exchange and bank access on my bridge.
According to one of the dev twitters, it'll use the D'kora bridge.
Lol, that's a bit of a trend, see Benthan Cruiser. :P
EDIT: Didn't realize it was a Dev. I thought it was just some guy form Reddit.
In it's entirety?

If you mean the Dabo tables and stuff, no idea.
It would probably be more work to remove them if it's the same bridge.
has somethin else to play with.
So this looks to be another direct replacement for a previous lockbox ship.
I foresee complaints. Not from me, I don't have the old one.

There is a small difference. This one looks like it is flying backwards then Benthan actually does fly backwards.

This will be getting the D'Kora bridge.
And yes it transforms!"

Beams are way too boring for my tastes. Fly in a circle and mash the space bar. Wooo.
USS Casinghead NCC 92047 launched 2350

Mhm, that's what I'm going to do.
TL;DR D'Kora Bridge confirmed.
