Guys you hit a home run with the bases loaded on the pilot ships. They are everything I wanted and more.

1. They are not sub-par to the Fed ships. Great job on this one. This has been an ongoing issue
2. They are beautiful pieces of lethal art. Yes we do appreciate aesthetics. Style does matter.
3. They are FUN. This is the most important. These ships are super fun. Most fun ships in the game

I cannot think of a single bad thing about them. Not one. I am sure someone will. But to me the are the best ships the KDF have for the escort and raider players.

I had one foot out of the door and had already downloaded your replacement then the Mat'Ha came out and let me know it really was time to go. Then you release the pilot ships and simply because they were equal to the other factions I decided to give one a try. I uninstalled the other game last night.

Keep doing this and not only do you get to keep your KDF players but some of the disenfranchised ones will return. I am glad you guys made the personnel change that made this possible and allowed KDF players to be seen as valuable customers. We will spend tons of money if you give us something of value to spend that money on. Always remember. Klingons are a fictional race. We are real people and real customers. Shafting a fictional race does not make money. Giving customers what they want does.

You gave us what we wanted. Now it is up to use to reward you with lots of money

I generally favor Battle cruisers, but love love love the Mat'ha, everything I wish the Mogh was and then some.

The Pilot ships, bought the 9pack actually, been using them for my Ferasan toons and really love them.

I also want to point out this is the first time all three variants have good use cases. ENG variant great for double A2B, Sci one for TBR/GW, Tactical one for going all in on Pilot skills.

I mostly prefer birds of prey to raptors because I can decide who ends up where at what boff-wise. But I also am quite fond of these T6 raptors. The only MINOR gripe I have with it is the minitorp autofire trait. I'd have preferred a real photon. Other than that, I give the pilot raptors a solid B+.

Outside Pilot Ships, nothing else gives you several seconds of immunity after only barely over a handful of seconds recharge. At no cost in build space. No cost in BOFF skills. No cost in console slots. No cost in any equipment space. It's "Just There" with the ship. They are a flying "Get Out Of Jail" card. If you have Pilot Specialization, it gets even more ridiculous.

The fun fact is that any of the 3 versions are viably good ships. 2/3 traits are good. This isn't like some ship packs where only 1 is good out of the pack.

I got the sci raptor for my KDF main, and so far I love it. Hell even went to a torp heavy build and still does amazing.

Indeed .
See, 90% of the time in STO, you stare at your ship's rear .
That means that the ships rear has to be nice looking .
And the engines on these are not ... , in contrast to their look from the front .





... and no, the fact that their Fed equivalents don't look stellar from behind is not a bonus to the KDF ...

Agree with OP on the visual aesthetics part most of all. I've been playing Battlecruisers with a decent turn rate, K'tinga and Tor'khat. One of the things I noticed right away with these ships was how different they are to fly and fight with. Totally different experience. Pleasantly surprised to find that.

I set up my Engineering Pilot Raptor this weekend. Got everything to Mk XIV and most things with the exception of the weapons to Epic. I used AP beams with the two rear being omni-directional 360, so that puts seven guns on a forward target. This thing burns up enemies fast! My K'tinga is set up with disruptors, but if I was going up against something really tough, I'd take the Raptor. I used the Borg set, deflector, shields, Impulse engines and a universal console are Borg technology, so I have all of the bonuses from that set. I'll use this ship a lot more now.

I'm still not sold on the appearance of the KDF Raptors, but love them performance wise.

But with a small head, short neck, wide wings, and the right Cannons at the tips of them, and the right hull material, one can get a setup that is close enough to looking like a BoP.
