his year you can participate in the floater challenge courses to earn Lohlunat Prize Vouchers (2015) that you can trade in for a starship! This year the Risian Hospitality Association has partnered with the Lobi Crystal Consortium to offer a Ferengi Nandi Warship. The Nandi offers the finest in both firepower and luxury for the discerning ship commander. (More details about this ship will be available in an upcoming blog.)
And once you've earned the Ferengi Nandi Warship, the Risians will give you a significant discount if you want another one! (Any character on your account can claim the Ferengi Nandi Warship once you've earned the ship on a single character.)

Looking at yopur signature something hit me out of nowhere: Ferengi starships are just Cardassian ones flying backwards, aren't they? (And the other way around )

If the new ship can fully benefit from the "Friends in High Places" Lobi gear, I'd be ecstatic. Also shocked, because my expectation would be completely the opposite.
I could maybe see it being able to slot the Battle Module console if you already have it, though.
Really looking forward to the blogs on this one.
You just blew my mind sir. I love my dkoras and the bm3k is just an awesome console anyways.. If we could slot it on the nandi.. Thatd be awesome.. Or maybe theyll make a battle module 4000 with some console synergy thatd be cool good times ahead anyways i looooooove me some ferengi ships so im ecstatic (when cardie lockboxes first first came out i was saying two things.. I want a dkora, and i want the giant xindi aquaboat.. So far im two for two )

Not really? The ship in that sig seems to be a third party designed ship, which strays somewhat from traditional Cardassian ship design by making everything more rounded.
Like, normally, Cardassian ships are like.... Lego manta rays, almost. The Ferengi Marauder is basically a backwards horseshoe crab.
The only exception seems to be the Hideki class, which really does look more like a Ferengi ship than a Cardassian one.
"Wise Sages"? Is that what we are calling them now? Regardless, there was enough info left out there that the only thing I'd rule out right now is the Risian Yellow Submarine.
Well, that's what I call them. It has a little more flare than "the site that shall not be named." :P
I think the Yellow Submarine was wishful thinking, born out of the angst of the Science players that lack science ships (KDFers and RRers). Great idea, too... but, I don't think Cryptic does anything "last minute" with ships.

Ah, that could be the reason why I never noticed that before But I probably thought of the Hideki, if that would fly backwards it could be a Ferengi ship, you're right.

Yeah, I dunno what is up with the Hideki. Like, did someone find old concept art or something, of an unused Ferengi ship design and just think, "Enh I GUESS this could be a Cardassian ship, too, if we just uh..... turn it backwards, yeah".
On the Hideki... something I read on Doug Drexler's blog a few years ago and it all made sense.
The Hideki was to be Cardassia's attempt to build a copy of the Defiant Class from stolen blueprints and information seized by Obsidian spys. That's why he made it have a somewhat similar shape, size and purpose and have an almost identical bezel around the bridge on top. Also note the protruding "warhead" deflector and rounded hull. The back story was never incorporated into an episode but is part of lore.

Maybe I have to read the whole article, but right now it doesn't make sense to me at all. I mean even if they copied the Defiant exactly it would still look more organic cardassian than the Hideki, really. But just my opinion.

Wise Sages it is, then.
As far as the Yellow Submarine goes, players were speculating about this as early as the end of last summer's event, so it wouldn't have exactly been last minute. My point, though, was to say that the only thing we could really say for sure about this Ferengi Warship is that it isn't going to be a Risian Submarine-Ship, based on what the Wise Sages have posted.

Given the 'warship' tag and the leaked console/trait being somewhat sciencey, I forsee the Nandi being a T6 equivalent to the Breen Chel Grett, 4/4 weapons, with a tactical primary focus and a secondary focus on science.
It does come with a console (Battle Module 3000).
And the Galor comes with a powerfull weapon...
Galor comes with a Powerfull weapon? Do you mean the beam arrays with the Dmgx2 Accx2 mods? Those are nice, shame you only get 4 of them though. That is what your talking about isn't it?

You can buy more off the dilithium tab once you opened the Galor box...
Can't have a honest conversation because of a white knight with power
I just have checked, with tha Nandi now on Tribble the Battlemodule and "Friends in High Places" still only refers to the D'Kora, but it seems that the the Metaphasic Solar Collector Console can be equipped on the Nandi and D'Kora.
Beta, LTA, CE, Multiple preorder Versions, all Addon Packs except AoY, nearly all KDF/Rom and ~50% of all Fedships, over 25 LockboxShips, Endurer of Atari's "Year of Hell", but...
No it doesnt because the Hideki first appearance was in "Profit and Loss" that was Season 2, as the Defiant first appearance was in "The Search, Part I" that was Season 3.
There is no way that can be true because the Hideki WAS identified by name in "Tribunal" another Season 2 episode, this means the Cardassian Union copied a prototype that did so well in the trails STAFLEET PUT IT IN STORAGE because it tended to FLY ITSELF APART and that was only rectified later.
So that is impossible because all points for the Hideki being in service before Sisko even started working on the Defiant and it certainly was in service before the Defiant was anything but "the ship that fly itself apart" running joke on SCE.
Exactly, in-lore this makes absolutely no sense. Only thing I think makes sense if drexler spoke from a out-of-universe perspective, like "since we had the Defiant planned out we decided that other people need small and nimble ships as well". But the Hideki being built to imitate the Defiant? No way.

Thanks for that. Just curious, is there an image of the ship on the box? Does it look anything like the D'Kora, or are we getting a conplete departure in design?

I like it. I too shall call them the Wise Sages.

Wish I could consult them. But, I guess that's a common problem with religion; access is controlled by the privileged elite.
Heck, I am not even sure which site these wise sage bushes are using.
We come in peace, SHOOT TO KILL!
I think they use Google.
I know I would, and I'm not half as wise as they are...
