Any reason to get diplomacy 4 on alts?

Are Diplomacy BoFFs tradeable as candidates? Trying to figure out if they are worth getting on my alts to shift to other characters or possibly sell? If I remember correctly they used to be mailable as candidates but not sure now. I do know they aren't tradeable anymore once they are commissioned.

    if your referring to enabling the ability to cross into certain sectors its a dead issue now they have took down the borders they have taken down the restriction with it.

    I found that out during the delta recruit event when I flew to sol system with my kdf rom instead of my fed rom, cause I couldn't enter the system but I got all the way there.

    When I think about everything we've been through together,

    maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,

     and if that journey takes a little longer,

    so we can do something we all believe in,

     I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

    diplo boffs are not tradeable anymore since the boff revamp

    KDF are now the lap dogs of the Federation. So it makes sense that all the borders are gone....

    Well... there's still the transwarp options it opens up. Makes getting around a bit easier.
    Need something in the Alpha Quadrant but you're around New Romulus? Transwarp to DS9.
    Need something by Hobus but you're near Bajor? Transwarp to SB39.

    Yes there is the Fleet Transwarp Gate if you're in a fleet... but that's one extra step with an extra loading screen.

    since they took down the borders they should give some other perk for getting diplomacy level 4. Maybe the ability to visit each others home world. Maybe have a costume that each faction could switch out on or something. Nothing special but a little something. Would be nice.
