Kobali Samsar for Lobi

Sorry if threads like this have been posted before...

Reasons in favor of allowing Delta Recruits access to the ship trait and the completed gear set are obvious so I'm just looking to garner support.

Is there a reason why Recruits shouldn't have access to the Kobali goodies, seeing as (correct me if I'm wrong) there's no exclusive advantage to playing the characters themselves after unlocking their account-wide rewards?

    According to our EP ... every Event Ship will become an Account Unlock (soon-ish)... which MIGHT include the Kobali Samsar ...
    Patch Notes : Resolved an Issue, where people would accidently experience Fun.

    I'm curious about the DSDs from the last anniversary. They cost Lobi now, what about all the people that purchased them with Lobi? And if you only got it for one faction, will you be able to get the other faction DSDs for free? And what about the Odyssey and Bortas? They're in the fleet shipyard now, what about the people who purchased them that way? :P

    For that reason I suspect only winter/summer events count as samsar and DSDs are tehnically anniversary ships they could be excluded.

    Then again, if they made available for free those that purchased them with Lobi basically paid for the privilege to use them before they have been made account unlocks. Nobody could foresee that - of course, since the announcement everybody spending Lobi for a DSD is playing with fire until we know more.

    Honestly, if they made the Samsar account unlock, and left the others as they are, I don't think anyone would really complain.

    The people who bought the DSDs with Lobi would be getting them as account wide unlocks if they were included as "event ships".

    Now if someone had ground out a DSD during the event and then purchased more of that ship with Lobi they'd be losing out.

    You want the Samsar to go in the Lobi Store? Be careful what you wish for. You seen how much a T6 Lobi Ship costs?

    The DSD costs less than regular equivalent T5 Lobi ships; the same would probably have been done for the Samsar.

    However, if they do add it into an Account Unlock Store, that'd be better. Even if it costs Dil (like Faction ships that don't cost Fleet Cred or Zen), it would at least make the console and warp core readily accessible.

    It would be nice if Cryptic would do the same for the DSDs at least; those things were never worth their Lobi price, and it would unlock the Warp/Singularity Core and the Solanae 2ndary Deflector (grandfather the unlock based on owners of the DSD pack as well as anniversary owners and Lobi owners). Even if it's tied to Lobi or the DSD bundles, moving them to the account unlock saves a lot of Lobi for other characters on the same account.

You do realize that for the Second Anniversary, the ship that was given at that time was the Odyssey for the Federation, and the Bortas for the KDF? The Ambassador/Kamarag ships were the third anniversary ships.

    That's because the DSD isn't lockbox/fleet quality. It's just a generic t5. The Sarmsar, however, is full T6, so I would expect it to be the same cost as any other T6 lobi ship.

    The Kamarag Retro was a frickin' awesome ship.

    I don't see them doing an account unlock for any event ship that was moved into a store like the Odyssey and Dyson. Ships like the Breen and Risian ships, along with others such as the Ambassador/Kamarag Retros and Samsar that are NOT in a store... I can see those becoming Account Unlocks. The question is... how will they be made available? Will they be in the C-Store like when they gave away the Ambassador Retro?

    While I mixed up ship dates, I still feel the comparison still holds up. The Star Cruiser has the LtCmdr Universal seat vs Ambassador Retrofit's fixed layout, and the 3-pack further rendered the Retrofit obsolete.

    But that's personal opinion on my part. I should edit that part out.

    I flew the Kamarag Retro for a long time on my KDF. Was one of the best ships I had. Hell... I'd rather fly my Kamarag than the Intel Battlecruiser. Feels better to me.

    Frankly, I don't agree that the Ambassador was made obsolete by the Odyssey 3-pack. She fills her role pretty well, and if built right she can be a beast herself.

    I miss my old kamarag from the original temp ambassador mission where we got the fleetish version
    i agree she was a beast and agree aswell the ambassador is an awesome ship imo far better then the oddy.

    Sure, just understand that it's going to cost 900 Lobi. All T6 ships in the Lobi Store go for that much. I don't know about you, but to me, 900 Lobi is a big price tag.

    The only thing that would make my Kamarag Retro better is T5U capability. Only things I planned on bumping up to T5U when I got my Delta Pack was my Fleet Mogai, one of my Vesta variants, and my Assault Cruiser Refit. Nothing I had KDF side appealed to me for T5U. Most of my stuff over there was Mogh and Mirror ships, and I really didn't feel like giving the Mogh a T5U. Ended up flying the Breen Raider until I got the Mat'ha.

    I strongly suspect that the account-wide unlock of event ships will be T6s only. So, Samsar yes, Dyson ships and Ambassador/Kamarag no. Sarr Theln yes, Plesh Blek and Chel Grett no until they get T6 updates.

    Ambassador, Kamarang and Obelisk aren't event ships, so they are excluded anyways. They were mission rewards - while we can debate wether anniversary ships are "event ships", the mentioned are not. The Oddyssey/Bortas aren't event ships either.

    I never got a chance to get the kobali samsar cruiser, due to computer issues and whatnot...I missed out on the event T.T

    I have an alien toon modeled after a kobali, made it to go hand in hand with the samsar...but alas, no i wasn't able to get it.

    i would buy the kobali samsar for lobi or zen at this point
