No continue point on mission if DCed mid-mission.

Mission in question is "Second Star to the Right, Straight on 'til Morning" on the KDF side. I'm not sure if this is the only mission with this problem, but with DCs being common lately...
I was on my ∆ KDF Lieutenant Commander (now 16, not sure then but <15) 'IH nagh vaS. Right in the middle of the mission, just after scuttling the DeWitt but before recruiting raiders, I DCed. When I finally got back on, I was in the Alhena System in sector space but there was no circle on the map and no continue prompt in space, no matter where I was in the system (near the star nor near the planet). Transwarp just took me around in circles back to the same spot, no change.
My wife also had this issue in nearly the same point of the mission (different KDF character on a separate account). Her character was at the end of clearing the DeWitt and hadn't beamed out yet when she DCed. When she got back on, no continue point appeared, same as for me.
We were each soloing it and it was at separate occasions on separate days. My occurrence was a couple of days ago but hers was today post-patch.
Both of us had to drop and re-accept and do the entire mission over again. VERY frustrating!
