Doff and R&D Assignments stuck on "Finishing"

Ok this is kind of a re-post, but I wanted to format it in a clear and concise manner rather than the panicky ranting in the original one.
Issue:
23 of my Duty Officer Assignments, all from various star clusters have gotten stuck with "Finishing" showing as the time remaining on my "main" Federation Liberated Borg Character.
The same thing has happened with all 5 of my Research R&D Projects, all of them being stuck at "Finishing"
Steps leading up to the issue:
I flew around to some star clusters and picked up a whole load of missions, none longer than 1 Hour.
I logged off and came back 3-4 hours later and found them stuck like that, at "Finishing"
The next day when my R&D Projects came due they too got stuck at "Finishing".
They cannot be cancelled, to attempt to do so only prompts a "Failed to cancel X" error message, and they have now been stuck like this for almost a week soon, even after todays server reset.
I have filed a ticket with ticket ID #3,416,693.

I'm overjoyed that my character seems to be fully playable again. But this is definitely a Bug that needs to be looked into so it wont happen again.
Because as a result I pretty much missed the whole R&D XP bonus week because of it.
Ah finally fixed itself... i dunno took extra long time to finish...
