    Bingo.

    /10char

Ummm, if we're not getting a bonus from selling items to stores, the entire bonus is a waste, since DOff missions reward paltry amounts. I can't think of any missions that award any EC, aside from Tour the Galaxy which as others have said is broken.

So, yeah, this went from 'meh' to 'not even going to bother' in less than an hour. At least now I don't need to worry about it anymore.

So my "main" Delta Recruit (and as far as you should care, my only one) has already spent the massive fleet project pack.

Therefore, the contributions from this recruit are "gimped" because I was not aware of any need to save them for a specific week...

Am I bent because I already spent the "reputation jump start pack" on advancing reputation tracks and we're gonna have reputation fills next week?

Or are all contributions from Delta Recruits going to be "retroactively" applied?
Detecting big-time "anti-old-school" bias here. NX? Lobi. TOS/TMP Connie? Super-promotion-box. (aka the two hardest ways to get ships) Excelsior & all 3 TNG "big hero" ships? C-Store. Please Equalize...

To rob a line: [quote: Mariemaia Kushrenada] Forum Posting is much like an endless waltz. The three beats of war, peace and revolution continue on forever. However, opinions will change upon the reading of my post.[/quote]

One thing the Delta Recruits need to do is do missions on some home worlds of players and NPCs, see what Orions, Talaxians, maybe even Talosians know about the Iconians since the situations dangerous enough.

I'm confused ... does this mean I'm supposed to hoard Items for EC now ... isn't that a bad thing for some reason ...

Uhm what ... no "Stores" ? ... so selling Stuff to "Stores" won't reward Bonus EC ? ... is it going to be an imaginary Bonus EC Week, because I'm not sure how to get EC otherwise (except the Exchange of course) ...

... what's left ? "Tour the Galaxy" ? Which is bugged, after Sector Space Revamp ... ? Maybe I'm missing something here but that doesn't sound "smart" at all ...

Stores don't work so hoarding items wouldn't be any use. Missions give ec rewards, doffing, tour the galaxy, delta recruit rewards, tier 5 reputation rewards, possibly orion slavers and I think that's it.

Remember the auction house doesn't generate ec, just passes it between players. Hence two people giving a bag of KO ey that gets bigger each time they pass it is bad.

There's a few trade missions that reward tens of thousands on crits. No one is buying a key with the bonus from the week though.

So, does this apply the exchange, or only other sources of EC income?

If it does then prices are going to be fluctuating like crazy which will be annoying.

so long as they dont inflate too hard it shouldnt be that bad, im skeptical on how much it will impact the economy though.

Hmm, thew boxes of ec awarded to deltas, got those in week 1, so no bonus there, fleet project booser, ditto, its already been poured into fleet projects, week 1 again, no ec from stores, tiny amounts from missions, so, basically if i somehow come up with 10's of k or refined dilithium and dump that into my fleet, i'll get a modest increase in the trivial sums from doff missions thats less than i'd spend transwarping there under the new map system, or plan b, i can park my behind in some ferengi drin king dive and play dabo with leeta all damn day...

    Pass...

Yep for every 50 million EC you obtain by grinding 24/7 you get a bonus of 1 EC and 1 GPL.

Not to mention you get to see more war propaganda posters like we are living in 40's under a communist or socialist empire lol.

Is GPL useful? I only see it useful in certain DOFF assignments, which to be honest there are alternatives assignments that award similar CXP.

I really thought that Lobi should had been GPL, give have lock boxes award large amounts so you can either spend 20,000 hours playing Dabo or open the boxes for it.

GPL is used for some doff missions, the two most popular are the purple version of "special deal on entertainment provisions" which can get you a purple Vulcan or orion entertainment hologram on a crit; or the trade GPL for contraband mission.

You need 2,000 for the first mission in the cardassian featured arc to get the accolade "lobes for business".

Trolls buy disco balls with it.

People who have been harassed by trolls buy disco ball negators with it.

During the summer event you can buy risian sunglasses

If you didn't get them during the event, you can unlock the club costume and dance emote account wide

There are also ship and personal holograms (non combat only, but fun) that work for an hour before burning out.

    GPL...

You can buy those party mirror ball devices with them, or the anti party mirror ball device...

You can also buy pretty trikets to put up in your starships mess hall in place of the ship models and fancy statues awarded by certain missions, ditto on the racks in your ready room...

These do cost a few hundred thousand GPL though, so save up for a bit...

And every other country ever. There is even a "We can do it" poster with an Orion.

But it's still missing some "When you fly without a Delta Recruit, you fly with M'Tara", "Avenge the Preservers", "Bluegills might sink ships", and of course our own derisions of Iconian propaganda anthems: "When Iconian says we is the master race, we hail! Hail! Right in Iconians' face!'

We're now into Delta Recruitment's fourth week! This week focuses on joining a fleet, which will garner massive rewards for everyone! Once a Delta Recruit joins a fleet – and gains the great head-start package from the associated project reward

Seriously, why would you people expect anyone to bother playing this game and spend ANY money on it @ all? This delta recruit nonsense seemed very interesting at first glance, only to be completely ruined by the absolute plethora of f**kups (new ones) the new "season" brings. I understand trendy isn't involved in the programming aspect of pew/craptic, but one can hope she would pass along the frustration, anger and disgust that many, if not most long term players are feeling. With the delta recuit TRIBBLE, there are at least 2 missions that can't be completed, one is a required delta recruit requirement. I guess there are enough idiots and/or people who mysteriously don't have the same bug issues, log on problems and disconnect problems, as well as people new to the game that seemingly provide pew/craptic with some sort of marginal income to justify the owner to keep the lights on, but this has gone far beyond ridiculous. There are huge bug issues from the time of the game's birth that are STILL issues 5 years later. I mean, just look into the "known bug issue" category. And insted of fixing the bugs that reduce the enjoyment of game play, the pew/craptic management choose to ignore them and instead go on to create yet more content, bringing yet more bug issues without first correcting the known and long term issues first. There can't be a new thread in forum category without someone asking and/or begging the powers that be for the already existing TRIBBLE to be resolved. And that's just the bug issues, and don't address the sometimes snotty, condescending attitude from the contact people nor the attitude of employee's like this gecko. I hate EA games and am not the biggest fan of lucas arts and microsoft xbox, but they don't publish products and services with half the bug issues, crappy customer service, and such arrogant game designers.
My long standing question is therefore..... At which point in time can we expect >> ANY << resolution to the now vast amount of problems? You have all these "shard " maintenance shut downs as well as the now standard "emergency outages" that are now a regular part of any new content introduction that usually fail to correct the bugs they were supposed to fix. Again, when will the now huge and overwhelming backlog of bugs begin to be corrected? Can someone from mgt. please answer?

Wouldn't it be sweet to have a GPL to Lobi conversion?

The ratio of Lobi:GPL would probably have to be ridiculous to maintain whatever exclusivity they want for lockbox items and key purchases. Maybe something like 1:100,000. So a 800 Lobi ship would be 80mil GPL...that's on par with lockbox ships in the exchange for EC, correct?

    Do it.

    Good day,

I am still having login problems. At login, I would get to the Cryptic logo, but when the Iconian logo is on the screen, the start up crashes. I receive the following below:

FATAL ERROR: DIRECT 3D DRIVER RETURENED ERROR CODE
    (DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED) WHILE CHECKING SYNC QUERY

    D3D11 DEVICE REMOVED DUE TO DXGI_ERROR_HUNG 0X887A006

Can you please, please, please, get this issue resolved. I am missing out on the Delta recruitment content.

    Thanks,

pretty much all of this ...if you don't have an instant ( or delayed ) CTD on various maps , there's always the lag ( on every map ) . But the DR can't be completed at all, because the entire Deferi map is bugged ( it's a 100 % guaranteed crash to desktop with a little bug report application that also crashes immediately ) . I can abide by this for few days ,but some of these bugs have been present since day one.

Without the buff for selling vendor trash I find this "bonus" to be underwhelming, needlessly restrictive and limited.

On top of this, due to the nature of many fleet projects, it will be more difficult than normal for Delta Recruit participation as they don't have total control as to the availability of inputs, unlike the previous weeks where everything required was only dependent on YOUR behavior, not that of fleetmates, etc.

Suspect the official Cryptic Way to Play with delta recruits is supposed to be taking 4 weeks to lvl to 30, finding 4 other delta recruits also lvl 30 and forming your own fleet...

More baby 5 member fleets means more grind trying to make them up to the point where you get real benefits from being in one.

Working on it. There have been.... a lot of posters.

Yup. We but we can only see them in passing on load screens. You guys have not added any new wallpapers to the ARC/STO Media Page since before I joined (December, btw).

Are you guys hiding them somewhere else? Facebook, maybe.

And others feel as if they came out of Orwell's 1984.

Imagine what WW II would have been like if just before it began, before all of the declarations of war, an alien invasion had begun. If suddenly all of the Axis Powers and the Alliy Powers had to work together to fight a common foe despite how each faction felt about the other?

That is what these posters fee like to me, anyway.

I would like a page where all posters can be viewed. Alto the Ferengi warbond one, just makes me think about how the Ferengi are letting us pay for the privilege of their defending their planet against the Undine.

I can not remember the title, but there is a novel that deals which such a scenario. Only WOII was already in progress when the Alian invasion force arrives.
