We're now into Delta Recruitment's fourth week! This week focuses on joining a fleet, which will garner massive rewards for everyone! Once a Delta Recruit joins a fleet – and gains the great head-start package from the associated project reward

    would be nice if you could actually complete the event and Deferi doesn't crash you to desktop ...( as of today's patch still does , kind of embarassing for an event meant to entice folks to play STO)

    So, does this apply the exchange, or only other sources of EC income?

    I am not clear
    do we have to make a new char every week or does having just one recruit char get new benefits every week?

    You know, I'd like it very much if we could get a large res version of that image for a wallpaper or something like that.
    Aaaand then I saw all the other people who already brought that up, lol, sorry about that Trendy. I'll try to pay more attention next time.

    Recruits will get benefits as they level up, but also contribute to a server-wide grouping of benefits. Here you go!

    It's coo! I'm working on making a lot of wallpapers, as there has been a lot of posters and a lot of people clamoring for said posters. :P

    I know it's already been mentioned, but that's my favorite Delta Recruit poster yet.

    Also - nice touch on Reman and Romulan-style warbirds.

    All right, that makes sense. Oh well, slightly more EC for feeding junk loot to vendors and the replicator is still bonus EC in my space-wallet. :cool:

    Plus that means this is less likely to cause runaway inflation.

    I guess what we need, then, is a list of what kind of EC sources this counts.

    I have to assume Vendoring (in-game EC generator) and any mission/objective that awards EC.

    Guessing not to the Delta Recruit rewards (if Marks and Dilithium are off the table, I assume EC is as well) and no to the Exchange (player-based source not NPC-based or a programmed reward).

    Thanks a lot. The posters have been really good and i think a lot of us would love them for desktop backgrounds, especially the one on this blogpost. Some very nice work, imo.

    After poking one very experienced and super smart person, I can confirm things like the exchange and stores will not apply the bonus because that would be infinitely scalable.

    Do fleet credits already earned by the recruit count?

    If not I can't contribute much this week.

    Commenting purely on the bonuses for the week and how to get it...

    I don't see myself contributing much to this.

    My Deltas are still pretty low level (highest one is lvl 23) so getting anything that my fleets could use isn't likely to happen. Maybe a Provision or Shield Generator here or there. Others in the fleet already take care of the Dilithium, which is amazing that some folks are so generous. Fleet marks are almost always auto filled as soon as new projects start up and since I try to DOff and only have the base 100 DOff slots, donating DOff's doesn't happen often either.

    As for the bonus we'll get, kinda lackluster. Considering all the good bonuses are seemingly behind us, I'm really wondering if they will repeat or if we're just going to get these next to useless bonuses from now on. The bonus EC will be alright, if we hit at least tier 2, but GPL? What's it even good for besides the odd DOff mission that requires it? I guess if the bonus counts towards progress for the Dabo accolades, that might be nice. Otherwise, meh.

    Can't win them all.

    So I'm having an honest brain lapse here...could you provide examples of sources that will get an EC boost off of this weekend?

    DOFF missions, I guess would be one (trading X Communication Arrays for EC, for example).

    Are there missions that award EC as part of their rewards?

    Are there traits that award EC?

    (Aside from DOFF missions, I'm honestly lost what sources would earn bonus EC. Players can help as well as a Dev/Trendy!)

    By the by... I noticed the Pratchett in Delta Flight... very nice. If you could pass on my appreciation for that small tribute to whomever had that idea it would be nice.

    I'm confused ... does this mean I'm supposed to hoard Items for EC now ... isn't that a bad thing for some reason ...

    Uhm what ... no "Stores" ? ... so selling Stuff to "Stores" won't reward Bonus EC ? ... is it going to be an imaginary Bonus EC Week, because I'm not sure how to get EC otherwise (except the Exchange of course) ...

    ... what's left ? "Tour the Galaxy" ? Which is bugged, after Sector Space Revamp ... ? Maybe I'm missing something here but that doesn't sound "smart" at all ...

    That is a bit of a head scratcher. Tour the galaxy is the only thing that does come to mind.

    As far as vendoring loot I see them worrying that people will infinitely buy something for 1000 and sell for 1500. Well, that's a lot of clicking. But I guess there are some more valuable items you might endlessly recycle. Still a lot of clicking.

    So the question is, who has a list of DOFF missions (generic categories are okay) and regular missions/objectives that will get the EC boost?

    I saw one in a loading screen. Was done in the style of the recruiting posters but instead of macho soldiers and "rahrahrah" it said "you will serve us" or something like that.

    Was a neat surprise when it popped up.

    Well they probably should have just called it "Dabo / GPL Week" then ... since the only "other" Source to gain EC is bugged ... seriously ? ... makes we wonder if someone takes more than 2min to think those things through ...
