Idk if anyone else already noticed it, but in the 2nd optional, when you have to evacuate the guy and escort him in a safe house, he has already 0 hp before the initial interaction, then when he starts to move, he die and the optional fails.

Yes, every difficulty. Thats because a group of heralds spawn right on top of him, while the team is still far away.
Possibly solution (playerside), heal him (Sci, Eng) before interacting.

Edit: Healing before interacting actually works. After that you have to evacuate him (he will follow you, and not walk alone like the fire team). While Omega T5 cloud works for interacting, he needs a Sci captain (or an eng with med gen and a bit of time) to heal him enough so that the two herald squads wont kill him upon as much as touching him.

Elite gives the same rewards (R&D-Reward, Probes and Dilithium) as Advanced, e.g. only 720 dil, advanced R&D-Box and just 1 Dataprobe.

It's giving the wrong reward type too! It's giving... "Advanced Queue R&D Material Reward Package (Craylon Gas)" instead of "Elite Queue R&D Material Reward Package (Plekton)"

Advance matches are failing and it is not clear why. The team still has time on the counter, we sync (after failing 2-3 times), the advance mission animation rolls and then we fail. Not sure if this is a bug or not.

I've been in matching where the operative is freed then seconds later the three devices are sync'ed. Not sure if that leads to failure.

I had this the first 2 times we played - both times in the 2nd area. Tonight we made it to the herald boss and he stayed dormant in his black shield. Turrets and mines could damage him but he healed himself before he could be killed. I Left after 5 minutes or so.

Today the mission failed on advanced in the targ pit area with around 1:20 left on the clock. Are there other fail conditions on advanced or is it bugged still?

Uh... that's the one with the intel agent you have to rescue isn't it? Yeah... if he dies you fail.

Problem is, he spawns with 0 hp, so you have to spend a lot of time healing him, BEFORE you talk to him.

Yeah, exactly what you said wood ;) , we figured out after some runs, healing him before to interact actually works and we got several times that optional. Anyway, it's just a workaround that need to be fixed, because you should get there and find the brute not already dead, but at least full :D
tl;dr dont let the npc spawn before we arrive there, so we can actually deal with them and get the opt

FED, PUGging "Brotherhood of the Sword (Advanced)':

Cleared the 1st area alright, proceeding to the 2nd (the one in front of the First City Exchange). We made sure to complete both side objectives ("Rescue Fire Team" and "Assist Honor Guard") before triggering the Iconian devices. After which we clicked the devices and got them simultaneously with well over a minute on the timer, when...auto-fail. Here's 10 marks. I've run Brotherhood on advanced several times without that problem, but I'm certain that we made no mistakes on that last run. Maybe an issue with the objective-checker thingy?

I've also had the issue in the 3rd area with the Orion Operative auto-failing the queue, as described by the other posters in this thread.

I tried to do it several times now on Advanced. For me there are too many Heralds spawning which makes this a bit unclear and Confusing. It would be great if they could shoot you but not interrupt the deactivation of the device like you can deactivate the Space gates in Gateway to Gre'thor even if you get shot at by Heralds. Or af there were not so many Heralds at all.

That said: its doable, we always go t to Stage 3 without many problems but failed because of that Syndicate guy.

Even as we cleared the Area of all Heralds and then talked to him he instantly dropped dead. One second he was standing there, next second, poof, dead. And there were no Heralds, no one shot at him or anything. i even placed a Med. generator near him. Didn't help.

Would be nice if he could be removed from the mission. There are much more important things than saving an Orion dude (like savin an Orion girl, classic Damsel in distress situation, or saving J'mpok who would have a lot of HP and actually fight too with Disruptor or Bat'leth

Yes, I am assuming he is J'mpok's brother-in-law. Since this "optional" is so mandatory it must be the real objective of our mission as opposed to granting, say, 5 additional marks.

    1. Kill Heralds around Orion syndicate guy.
    2. Heal him (sci\med or eng\medgen).
    3. Save him (press F) and guard him all way + heal him.

    P\S. Bug:

Elite difficulty of this queue gives Advanced reward (720 dil + adv r&d box)

The Orion syndicate guy can get stuck on the right side of the ramp. He wont run around to get on the round, but simply stand there making the optional in advanced and elite itself fail.

One thing that a number of people have missed is that, if you're in the process of escorting the MACO Team or the Operative when the consoles are activated, their related side mission auto fails and obviously that's just bad design.

Personally, I'd remove the stupid pauses every time you end a segment of the mission, allow everything to be completed in whatever order it happens. That way we could do the escorting of the groups during the console usage, would make a lot more sense.

EDIT: Also, if I remember Tribble testing right the MACO team is supposed to rappel up a building, well they still don't do it from what I've seen.

Brotherhood of the Sword Elite awarded me 1 Datacore and Advanced R&D boxes.

Also the boss appeared on or around the steps and was untargetable. Players need to die before the boss moved and became targetable.

Yep, it's definitely bugged - you can finish the second pylons, and it fails straight away before moving onto the next area. I presume to do with the operative in the next area dying straight away.

No, you just didnt finish the objective on the second area (either helping KHG Team or rescuing Fire team). Those objectives have to be finished before the tech is disabled.

I have played this STF about ten times now. The only bug I have noticed is people have no clue how to play it. It is the same thing all the time. Everyone goes off in their own direction. There is no teamwork. I have to say to Cryptic this is a really good STF. Hats off to you dev's for it. For the people who have no concept of this STF, please stick to patrol missions and stay out of the way.

I've noticed a hell of a lot of the Klingon NPCs (or actually any friendly NPCs) get stuck in the various debris, pillars and other "furniture" strewn round the map.

It can be frustrating to find that half you backup is out of action as they keep clipping into things.

For starters, I think that this STF is great, but it is also buggy way too much :(

And I agree with you guys, they need to fix it a bit, especially the rewards after completion (c.gas instead of plekton and same ones for adv & elite) and those irritating and frustrating auto/fails

Since I have done that STF a lot of times, I have to say that I figured out something strange, but it happens to work every time (tested it 10 times yesterday, all worked)even with changing optional targets. So, here it goes:

(THIS ONLY APPLIES FOR ADVANCED BotS, ON ELITE BotS YOU MUST FIRST DO ALL THE OPTIONALS BEFORE TOUCHING PYLONS)

When you come to the second room, always assist the Honor guard first, then the fire team, no matter what the mission says it's optional and what has to be done first (that is also the faster way because of that clock ticking). After that, you do those regular 3 pylons thingy and move to the next room.

In the third room, leave that orion guy alone, do not even look at him, no matter what the mission tells you the optional is (we already know that thing is changing all the time:mad:), go run and release the targs, kill all enemies around that central pylon and start the sequence of 3 pylons. That automatically overrides the optionals and let's you continue the mission.

I think that saving honor guard and fire team is essential for not triggering the auto/fail in the next stage(do not touch the orion guy after). My friend and me are doing it all the time and it works. The only time that we are having problems with this mission is when people who don't know what to do either run around and shoot things doing nothing else or trigger the objectives at the wrong time.

The only time you can speak with the orion guy is only after you release targs, and only after you kill all enemies in the room (that is pretty easy), but you really need to have a healer in the group and let him, only him!, escort that orion without shooting at newely spawned enemies. But, that thing almost never succeeds because someone always shoot the guy or trigger the pylons while someone is escorting the orion. And then you fail.

On NORMAL difficulty, you don't need to do any optional objective, only take care of the 3 pylons and you're done with the mission in 4 mins.

Hope it helps a bit. Cya in game :)

EDIT: Here is the picture to back up my claims.

    6fbo68.jpg

You can clearly see that the orion guy optional is failed, yet we continue with our progress with pylon thingy and our team was successfull.

I just ran Elite and there was a delay in me receiving the deactivate window on one of the secondary consoles.

In the fire team/honor guard room someone would activate the primary, I'd hear the audio and see the text and face of the narrator but the deactivate window too far to long to open in order for me to deactivate it. The first time it happened the window popped up near the end of the count down, ensuing that we did not do it within the 15 sec window.

The second time it happened right after the first time the window did not even pop up, the primary console was activated between 45 seconds from mission failure.

This is a really good mission, it can be done quickly with the right team.

No it's not. Done 7 Elites today, all was successful. If you don't know how to save him then play Advanced, Cryptic make it easy as Normal...
