We need this war to go really really bad, and result in a tattered federation and empire with resources limited, and maybe even some kind of omega particle related disaster, limiting travel and closing off borders. we retreat to lick our wounds before attempting to rebuild what once was, would that even be possible? new allies are needed, as those who where once friends are either currently unreachable or have become enemies. we would need to focus heavily on a discovery arc, trying to figure out a way to clean up the omega mess, trying to figure out a way that will allow us to travel properly once again. then will come the day when we can finally reach out.. reach out to those we had thought lost.. reach out towards a brighter future.. reach out and grab a life we once knew, a life we all took for granted.
