I was looking on STO wiki and I noticed some of the contents is out of date. When will STO wiki have a complete update on the information? It should be updated on a regular bases.

It's a wiki. You see a problem, fix it. That's how wikis work.

Yes I know, does anyone from STO review the wiki? I think the wiki should be updated by someone from STO or someone they trust to put accurate information.
People at Cryptic might unofficially update stuff there, but they will never officially do so. It's not their site so it's not their problem. They have plenty of their own problems already! Just check bottom of STOwiki page...

Sometimes I think I play STO just to have something to complain about on the forums.

It's not a Cryptic/PWE wiki...it's a Curse wiki...updated by the playerbase.

That is not how wikis work; you are describing an official game guide on the official website. But again, this is a wiki, meaning it is a community managed site, not something managed by Cryptic.
STOwiki administrator here. We update things as quickly as we can, but some articles do get overlooked sometimes. It's inevitable, with that many articles on the site.
The best solution, as others have already suggested, is to update them yourself. That's how wikis work.
"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them." -Thomas Marrone
That's just because you have that honkin big skylight in your bedroom. Anyone flying over your house in the morning can see the colour of the drawers you're putting on. :P
Well you'd think they would have learnt better by now.
No. Because as Nagus said, that's not how wikis work.
You yourself can fix problems you find on the wiki. Instead of complaining, you should do that. That's the POINT of wikis.
Where does it say I am complaining? I am informing. There is a difference. Also Arc has linked STO wiki on there webpage. I know people can edit the webpages on the wiki. Since Arc has linked STO Wiki on their webpage, they could at least have someone check the information is accurate. As it is mentioned on STO wiki, they could mention here on the forums about what needs updating and if the players can update the information for them. I myself, when I have time, will edit some of the information.

The wiki wasnt created by Cryptic. They simply built a link to it.

read the perfectworld uela.. clearly states that they are in no way responsible for the content of any 3rd party sites they may mention or link too.. actually the uela says that basically they have no responsibility other than the right to change anything at any given time lol,
but as already stated, the wiki is updated by the player base. if you see something out of date.. register and update it. there are 35,660 pages of data on the stowiki.. thats alot of information, as with most wikis people tend to keep an eye on the thing they have personally placed on the site, or make ammendments when they happen to notice them. expecting or assuming that contributors, or some a.n.other should automatically trawl through all these wiki pages, checking what if anything needs updated and then listing it somewhere is kind of dim, and really expecting too much, that isnt how these things work.
as you said yourself.. when you have the time, you will edit some of the information.. that sentiment is true of everyone.

If you no longer believe that wiki is up to date or has misleading information, then stop referring to that site. As has been stated by others, Wikis are updated by the community, not by Cryptic or PWE. If Cryptic / PWE is expected to review Wiki information provided the player community, then do they need to review any and all fan websites that provides information about STO on the internet? Where does it end?
If Cryptic / PWE is expected to update the Wiki simply because they have a link to it, then I think it would be in Cryptic's / PWE's best interest to delete that link.
Believe it or not updating the wiki takes a lot of time. Feel free to join in so new players and old alike can have updated information. Hopefully we'll have T5U upgrades in there soon =P

I live in Canada and they look into what colour drawers I put on this morning...

Update it yourself, or stop asking others to do it, if it means that much to you...
And no.. Cryptic needs to say away from it... Otherwise we just end up having the newest updates in lock-boxes.
HEY! I still 'do' keep the lockbox articles fairly current. :P
