I've never seen this on any MMO. Not that I've been on a whole bunch (just three, and Champs the longest).

    if you were to read down there is already a thread about this

    Delta Rec has brought a lot of people back in apparently, or they took one or more of the servers down (people were having disconnecting issues)

    from what i've read its happened before, just not very often

    It used to happen extremely often... Especially when the Romulan Featured series was released.
    Then they boosted their server capacity, and now, on the rare ocation there IS a queue, its down below 300 in queue, compared to the 2000 it used to be.

    Servers aren't full just that they have put so little into server maintenance and upgrades that it's easier to take down servers than have people complain that servers are lagging broken, looks better to those newbies.
    Where ever you go, there you are.......

    im suprised that actualy 200ish peeps trying to play this game after all this ? D:

    wow, i tought these were sto's lasst daysbut it seems more alive than ever even against all the odds and fails

    It's very likely not because there are too many people playing, it's more likely that because of the recent major lag issues people have had they've taken a couple of the instance servers offline for maintenance bringing the overall capacity available down to the point where we have to queue to log in

    Huh. I've probably seen it, over the years, on at least 3-4 MMOs. Typically during major events or right after big content patches.

    (Heck, I think I saw a high-four-digits queue on WoW a few times, back in the day.)

    Guess you've never played World of War craft or Star Wars the old Republic or Lord of the Rings Online (at least at launch), etc.

    TLDR - Well, it's a fact that many MMOs have the ability to enable a 'wait queue' when server load requires it. Nothing new or unique to STO.

    It is just far less likely for STO to get a wait queue compared to certain other MMOs. So it is not surprising that some players didn't realize we have it.
