Seemed so cool at first, all the account wide unlocks, the tech upgrades, the awesome 50% extra bonus on top of the 2x XP week.
I know for my part, i was enthusiastic and worked hard to get everything finished on my recruit as fast as possible.
Turns out a lot of the delight was going to become disappointment. Tech upgrades suddenly stuck on a toon that doesnt need them. Account wide dil and stuff locked into level benchmarks, no good for low level alts. And worse of all, the crown jewel of the whole thing, them choosing not to give us the t3 50% bonus xp.
The worst part is, their goal was only off by 6% overall. You'd think with the bugs they had, the issues with people logging in, the emergency maintenance, and all that, that it might just be enough to account for the 6%. It would have made up for the problems at the launch, thats for sure.
Such a shame.
Generally agree. And now the meter seems to be moving very slowly, probably set wrong for doffing.

Fun while it lasted.
Making Tier 1 is probably going to be a challenge.
My guess is that they used metrics from well established Doffing with purple Doffs of the right types to set the targets and we're trying to meet it with a random collection of white Doffs.
This is my Risian Corvette. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

I don't agree with you entirely, the tech gear was known from the start to be of no value beyond a certain point, and the restriction on the account dil rewards was also known.
I do agree that it was a bit miserly of them not to give the T3 50% bonus to us considering the bugs we have had to contend with but given the overall outcome I will say would still do it again because its been fun and indeed I will be with 2 more deltas I have yet to level up.
I will also add that I have noticed the second weeks reward is only for 25% bonus per tier, I also think its going to be a lot harder to fill the tiers and progressively so over the weeks to come, me thinks that didn't expect us to do as well as we did in the first week, or perhaps they underestimated the response they would get from this event.
When I think about everything we've been through together,
maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,
and if that journey takes a little longer,
so we can do something we all believe in,
I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.
Since I'm going to get the last word here, I'm going to make it good.
People can be legitimately disappointed that the Week 1 Tier 3 reward didn't get hit. They can be legitimately disappointed that the Week 2 progress seems slower. And it's fine to express that disappointment.
But claims that the Devs are sadistically denying rewards to the players and that the failure to reach the goal is all their fault... That's just over the top. I'm insulted by those kinds of responses and I'm not even a Dev. It's unreasonable. And though I'm not entirely sure how much of it is intentional, it ends up being a violation of the Flaming and Trolling rule.
An acknowledgement that the Devs are providing free incentives to play STO and get bonuses would be nice. Yeah, we know that they're also trying to drum up business... what's wrong about that?
So, in the end, this particular thread is becoming more and more unproductive and non-constructive and it's time to end it. There are other threads still open to discuss Delta Recruiting.

For some, if you didn't get the best prize something was taken from you.

If TNG and later is the moral pinnacle of human civilization, how do I switch buses?
