So I've finally assigned tovan khev to uselessness...

So yesterday I reanalyzed Tovan Khev's traits and realized hes only a romulan operative. not a superior. He was costing me DPS. not to mention the fact I cant get rid of him or even simply RENAME him. so after the realization he's not a superior romulan operative, I promptly found a superior romulan operative, slotted the same abilities as tovan has for functionality on my ship, and assigned tovan to uselessness where he shall remain until the day he....

    He was costing you DPS? You mean going from 41,502 DPS to 42,334 made a big difference in your playing? :D
    STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    Woah, woah, woah, that's an entire 732 dps right there! That's more than some people do total with fully kitted out ships...

    I tried to put Tovan Khev into the Talaxian uniform... because, if he's gonna be dressed like anyone, it's gotta be Neelix...

    But, you can't. :( At least as far as I can tell.

    Put him in the tal shair uniform, make him look like what he hates. :P

    if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.

    I gave him a big bright pink uniform, made him incredibly fat, completely destroyed his face.

    That way, I can at least smile when he shows up.



    In seriousness, I did not do this yet, but he is going to get this treatment on one of my Delta Recruits.

    Tovan has Plasma Weapon Specialist, Superior Soldier, and Superior Stubborn.

    He's an excellent ground BOff, I give him Draw Fire and let him get shot at.

    its a lot better than it was with the new officer training. Now that we no longer need 20 officers to swap skills/builds, the space he takes up is of much less value. It would still be nice to toss him, but whatever... he is holding onto some gear I do not use much and spends his days on the holodeck.

    Tovan looks similar to the crazy gang leader from Farcry 4.

    Except that riding elephants around has clearly not done Tovan any favors to his weight.

Sometimes Fabulous Khev objects, but one momentary shock to his collar is usually enough to make him see the futility of his more evil live and let live peaceful ways. Oh I could just hug all and squeeze all those Klingon's up against my bosom until they all suffocate! :D:D:D

    Tovan who? :confused:

    Two extra bridge officers. That's the only Zen purchase I make these days, so I don't need him either on the ship or on the ground. :D

    Welcome to the club. The line to shove him into an escape pod to head back to Virinat or wherever he wants to go is quite long

    They should at least let us hire, or trade Tovan for, his sister with a semi-unique Space trait or two such as Efficient (she was part of a hauler team; they'd need to be Efficient enough to maximize transporting and route planning) and Superior Romulan Operative (on the grounds of having more active combat training than her part-time farmer brother to fight off raiders and pirates).

    Or actually have Tovan gain SRO upon promotion to Commander, as a sign of his "growth" and trial by fire.

    It would go a long way towards making him more tolerable for many.

    A silver lining to Tovan; he at least has a Space Trait and TS3; the KDF VR Boff you start off with has neither.
