Embassy console plasma explosions

So plasma doping was nerfed, but the explosions are even stronger. I'm seeing ridiculous crits when paired with bfaw. Is this working as intended? A little crappy that they made radiation damage not scale with aux power on the 2nd deflectors, but they buff the hell out of the embassy consoles. Sour grapes I guess, I suppose there are plenty of broken things in this game.

    Other than not critting outside of FAW, they're working as intended. The reason the damage is higher is because it's instant, not a burn - it should make sense that it does more damage than one tic of something that tics 15 times.

    I do have to say, the procs do some pretty mean damage when buffed by Tac abilities. Personally I think any and all non weapon damage, ie exotic sci abilities, should be disconnected from tactical abilities, or at least tactical captain abilities, but that may just be the sci in me talking.

    The whole FAW super proccing is definitely not working as intended though, and I've almost got vaped by the combo of those explosions coupled with a nicely buffed FAW more than once.

    On a side not, why is it that weapon power buffs the proc? I didn't know that it had an effect on the damage, but I am far from knowledgeable when it comes to some of this stuff.

    yeah, as a mostly sci, i hate the way that they made the radiation damage on 2nd deflectors not dependent on aux. This made a tyken's build viable, but now really the only sci build that is any good, at least in pvp, is the repulsor/feedback pulse build. It is irritating how the damage of the plasma explosions scales w/ weapons power yet they nerfed the radiation damage hardcore a few patches ago. anyways, venting, going to go do delta recruit stuff in hopes that they nerf the plasma explosions
