Cannot Buy More Character Slots

With the release of Delta Recruitment, which is promoting the creation of new characters, I personally, along with other altoholics who have hit the max character slot cap, have felt rather cheated by this update.
If you want us making more characters, but Delta Recruitment only pushes the limit up by 1, how are we supposed to make more? I want to make a Delta Recruit in each faction, but with just 1 character slot, I'm forced to decide on just one faction. Deleting a character just to make another is both counter-productive, especially since all my characters are over level 50 and have maxed at least one reputation, and annoying. I created my characters because I wanted a different style of gameplay and each one is wholly unique, running a different ship with different loadout.
Since Delta Recruitment was all about making new characters, I expected there to be a Character Slot Cap increase, but it looks like a character slot increase will NEVER happen. The work to increase it can't be that hard, seeing as it's probably just an if statement that disables buying more slots once a certain amount have been bought. I would happily pay the 625 Zen to buy 2 more character slots past my current 51 + 1 Foundry, heck, I would even pay 1000 Zen per character slot past 51 + 1 Foundry. Yes, you read that right, I would happily pay 1000 Zen for a SINGLE character Slot.
I won't stop trying to get more character slots unless I am given a genuine reason for not doing it, from a Dev.
P.S. If you want to leave a comment saying something along the lines of "just make another account", remember that new accounts require significant expenditure to get even a small selection of the ships and costumes I have obtained on my main account over the years.
P.P.S. If you want to "some of those 51 characters must be farming alts" consider yourself wrong, I have never had a farming alt, nor will I, all my characters are unique and have a small backstory and unique combat style.

51 + 1 Foundry Character Slots is NOT enough. Some of us love our characters. If I want to buy more character slots, why can't I? I couldn't experience the entire Delta Recruitment event without deleting a character.
The Iconians themselves can't time travel because their memories revert, but there is nothing to say an Iconian couldn't write everything she needed to do on a PADD, pin it to herself, travel back, read the PADD, do the tasks and return. Or just get one of her Non-Herald underlings to go back in time for her.

Oh yeah, I do Foundry missions for both KDFs and Feds. Just search KSTF (Short for Kinas Special Task Force, where Kinas is the name of the Admiral you will be serving under). The earlier ones are less story based and more combat based, while the later ones have a much heavier story element, but keep the large battles.
