Forgive the formatting, it was either getting doublespaced or no linebreaks at all and...yeah, that wasn't an option.
Needless to say, during previous runs with ISA I confirmed that regular beam fire and SS beam fire was generating procs at the per-cycle rate, as shown above. It's a log from a PVP match where Tenraka was kind enough to sit there and heal so I could generate data on him for a while. Running tests in PVE and not using FAW would generate procs at the per-cycle rate as well, but 0 crits. Running FAW only would generate crits at standard crit rate for the player. Arturia@topaboss ran multiple CRF/CSV tests and gained solid proc counts but zero crits. This was discussed in RedditChat at the time, I don't know if logs were made. Other people in 30K mentioned testing CSV with no crit success as well.
I'll add some other logs if you guys want, the point of that log I linked was to lock down whether the high fire rate of FAW would generate significantly more procs than the reduced rate for SS; that was not the case at all. Proc rates are confirmed per cycle. This directly changes what I (and others) had perceived the case to be in tribble, where plasma explosions appeared to proc per-shot. Our biggest concern was, were that the case, Reroute Power to Weapons drastic rate of fire increase would have been a significant boost in plasma explosion rates.
As far as explosion damage goes, I've seen a 118K max from Kapit Tucco, and have personally reached a 55K max myself. Unknown if that was the result of a crit or not, I no longer have the full log of that battle but will watch for it again. Clearly the plasma explosion damage is significant, especially with a full suite of high-level buffs as predicted elsewhere.
I made a folder specific to dope tests on my torpedo build, but with [Over] DBB's (should not be any source of extra procs based off of our initial findings.
Okay guys, let's keep the bug reports in the right subforum. Since there's already at least one threat on the subject, let's move our bug talk over there and get back to flaming each other on the consoles here. :P

Kahnsole flame!
But yea, these things stink almost as bad as the lag. They're also hilariously funny in PvP w/ Acc-Over beams after FaW.
No. Please no. Plasma 'doping' was fixed more than a month ago. That was actually an advantage to cannons, which have been worse than beams for over a year and a half. And nobody without skill ever broke 80k. Please shut up and take your hate-filled misinformation elsewhere.
a 2 tac console ship pushing 60k i think not, greif is not cool, besides, cannons are (in star trek) more powerful than beams, thats why they are all over the defiant and not the enterprise d. in this game (ever since embassy consoles) this has not been the case. also plasma weapons should have a better burn than non plasma with consoles.

Dude. Do you even read. Any proc is advantageous to cannon, which have more shots per second and volleys per second. And seriously, here's a post by a fairly well known expert back in september 2013 that talks about beams>cannons, and to quote one of the responders in that thread, "Welcome to what some of us have been doing for months "
You are so far off base with this comment, that the best explanation of my current thought process reguarding you is this one.

The reason the procs are "Adventitious to Cannons" is because of the tac. BOff skills devoted towards cannons focus on more shots in one way or another. The problem here falls in line with the fact that someone was legit able to prove Beams are more powerful than Cannons.
This actually is something that shouldn't be true in general. There was a reason the Defiant was loaded with cannons. Them buffing Beams to the degree that Cannons are weaker is an issue that doesn't make sense at all. The DPS on Cannons SHOULD be higher on an escort, due to the fact that an Escort is able to stay forward facing on a target much easier than let's say a science ship.
That being said, still sticking with my cannon build because it feels proper. Consider it me enjoying my good old days when cannons and beams had two separate skills
also plasma weapons should have a better burn than non plasma with consoles.
I have to say that I agree with him here on this point. Even though it is not a burn in its current manifestation, the underlying point remains the same.
Couldn't it be scaled to some point where the consoles go back to boosting all forms of plasma + exotic damage, remove the proc, and give Science toons a multiplier for both? Plasma keeps its unique ability & charm, anyone can use it, and Science toons in Sci ships get the biggest benefit from it.
62k FAW/Bank build, with 18,5k from Plasma Explosions and a 100k max hit
Plasma explosion was 30% of the total DPS
Those are Normal Plasma explosions for High DPSers/or same level buff timing/skills regardless of ships. Already saw Ryan do the same thing with a Sci ship.
18.5K DPS, 100k+ max one hit is normal once you reach the last % of DPSers.
However, the issue with the Plasma explosion console is some people dont realize or refuse to recognize that they can replicate the same amount or more damage/dps with other consoles. So if you are running 18.5K DPS peak with your 60kish+ DPS Ship, you can replicate that 1 console by using an Isometric charge which will do more DPS than the 1 plasma explosion console or add more CrtD stuff if you are lacking. Except CritD consoles wont be easily seen since they are parsed as weapon/weapon ability DPS.
Yes, they are useful now anything smaller would make them useless. So far, they are Alternative to Iso Charges, CritD/Crith Consoles, etc. But they arent OP in PvE nor the best to slot with the limited space not unless your aiming for +threat or -threat and additional points in skills like FloW/PartGen.

Did not say anything about them being OP, did just present some numbers. Yet, you keep "ensuring" us they are not OP, because of your anecdotal evidence.

Here's mine from the testing with FAW and SS.

None of the ToP Dpsers have Plasma explosions recorded with their peak dps
