Did a few ISA runs with the DPS channels this morning and it's unplayable.
Impossible to benchmark youf DPS right now...or even to have fun. ISA runs are 100% broken ATM for me.
I hope that this problem is taken seriously and a fix for STF runs is found.

Thanx, been banging my head against the wall trying to work out why i lost 5-6k dps,,,,,,,,,,,lol

ps 1st week in Feb 19k, 2nd week in Feb 13k,,,,,:(

That doesn't explain why the whole instance lags for everyone at the exact same time, or why our internet connection would happen to be fine to everywhere else at that exact same time.

I do not understand. How are you in 2 locations at once at the exact same time?

-2 clients running? That's obviously problematic for a number of reasons. This is not commendable behavior.

-Waiting 24 hr until the next day? The factors that affected your internet might have changed slightly to allow a functional connection, but the underlying issue still remains.

The test is simple. Instead of finding excuses, it is far more productive to go through the step by step instructions that I generously provided above to figure out how you can improve your internet connection.

    Huh?

I'm in one location. I just happen to be on teamspeak, or use team chat, or whatever. We communicate and verify that the lag affected us all severely at the exact same time.

And it's quite possible to alt-tab and run a quick tracert or ping test via CMD, or simply run it on a second monitor - the lag surely lasts long enough for one of those to complete.

And I've posted tracerouts, ping tests, network tests, and more. Simply put, network issues on the part of one person is an impossible explanation. It simply does not fit in the slightest with what we're seeing, unless somehow the connection of one person in America being bad causes the same exact problem for someone on a whole different continent at the exact time - all the while somehow while only affecting any of our connections to STO. The problem lies somewhere either in their servers or right next to it.

    Are you lagging?

Yes answer- Well, it's not as outstanding as you would like to believe. Needs to be brought up to performance standards.

No answer- I would appreciate that you don't waste my time.

It's not a problem on our side, it's on Cryptics side.

Cryptic has to take care of the issue.

All in all the whole game is broken and the lag is the biggest issue... .

I still hope, that the lag will be fixed before S10 :)

I am experiencing the same problem. I can fly around in sector space find, do DOFF missions etc but once I do a space queue the lag is horrible for the last few days. Normally I don't run into an lag in any queue but in the last few days CCA, ISA, Starbase 24 (I like to run that with new fleet members to help them learn their ships on an easy mission) have been almost unplayable.

I am also not encountering this problem in any other game or MMO and only in the last few days with STO.

Great videos Ryan which shows how badly it can effect ones game. Sometimes just explaining how badly it effects our game doesn't cut it.

A word of advice is that I'd remove the music as you'd be open to copyright infringement with YouTube, which ironically, the song "Happy" itself is being targeting for a copyright lawsuit.

    Funny world we live in.

I stopped playing for some weeks because of the lagging and rubberbainding. A weeka go i came back and i had no lagging, no rubberbanding. i really could enjoy the game. But since yesterday its all back. Rubberbanding in STFs and ESD, SnRs that are sometimes 240 or more seconds long, lagging, everything.

Another Week, another patch, and the lag - is still alive :D

It's so funny, that Crypitic isn't saying anything about that big issue.

I must confirm that the STF lag is alive an well.

An official response would be very appreciated.

I really enjoy STO but this issue is somewhat spoiling the game for me. DPS benchmarking on ISA is effectively (nearly) impossible now.

I can only only hope that some resolution to this issue will be found. I remain hopeful...

I've been hearing that lag is now affecting 'non-dps'ers' now.

It's also been pretty bad in CSA and CCA too

Seems like not only are they not fixing the problem, but they're actually making it worse!

LOL yeah. It's going to be force to push people. MORE than I daresay adding new ships constantly without adding new content.

Here's is one run that we did last night... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5cmDDaNTKc

I think both Holofrog and Ryan saw more lag than I did myself... For me it wasn't terrible, but it's still very bad over all.. It is getting annoying seeing run after run all resulting in the same lagginess.

Yeah, the lag is still here, i've had enough of this to be honest :( Cryptic, say us something, at least let us know you are aware of this situation, you really can't believe nothing is happening. People simply can't play your contents, literally...

Except it someone asked me if I was getting lag like she was... and I know she only parses around 2-3K dps on average

If it's affecting more than the high dps runs, then there are some serious problems that need to be sorted

I can confirm it. I did a few PUGs yesterday and they were laggy.
With all the lags, the game is dead.

I love the...attitude shown by the various dps people in here.

We don't need you to confirm or the other guy to confirm he's just now hearing about it happening to non-dps people. It's been known by the community for a long time about the lag both in and out of private and pugs.

The problem is that on high DPS runs more stacking traits tend to be present (as most high DPSers have lots of stacking lockbox traits/ship traits/maxed-out spec trees).

The number of stacking traits present seems to be related to lag.

Therefore, the lag which can already be bad in a PUG, is (usually) significantly worse for a high DPS team.

Nothing more, nothing less. I really don't think there was any "elitism" intended in the previous comments.
