Good evening Captains,
Basically what all 75k+ Premade runs look like..
Not quite as bad in lower runs, but still noticeable.
Lag doesnt really translate well to a Video as the viewer doesnt know what is being pressed and expected, but the rubberbanding and even the standstill should be pretty obvious...
(just making sure):
Pingplotter plots a 100ms, ingame 150 according to netgraph
Its not only my Computer, because everyone was experiencing the issue.
And its not only a european problem, as players from the states experience it too...
best regards

So, cryptic, see this video and try to understand that this problem affect EVERYONE in your game
Top DPS 102k
By 'Fix' I mean a new ship bundle in the C-Store.
I really hope something will be done to fix the lag plaguing STFs.
I have also noticed it's noticeably worse on higher dps runs. Maybe there are problems with the high # of stacking abilities/traits (typical of such teams) conflicting? I don't know.
All I know is that this lag greatly limits my enjoyment of the game and a fix would be very appreciated.
However , in my experience, it seems that Borg space and fleet alerts are affected so. I wouldn't be so sure it's the amount of abilities new and old stacking since in a fleet alert not everyone is a 50-60 lvl player with lots of powers and abilities.
On the other hand, aside from graphic issues , I don't remember lagging in Viscous Cycle .
And probably star ship traits for that matter, perhaps even only some discrete ones. It cant be that Im able to run a dozen ground pve without the slightest lag just to end up in a slideshow in next ISA.
And right, even though being more graphical intense never any lags for me in VCE as well.

The lag was noticeably better, but was still there
Pugs, premades, whatever, it's happening all over. Not as bad as during the year-5 event, though, when I came to a complete standstill in ISA right as I hit the first cube and didn't move again until the very end. Parsed 90-some DPS! A new record!
Impossible to benchmark youf DPS right now...or even to have fun. ISA runs are 100% broken ATM for me.
I hope that this problem is taken seriously and a fix for STF runs is found.

Well the only thing we didn't unslot was intel, and like I said before... the lag was better, but was still there by about half way through
I think the problem is cumulative due to the amount of stacking abilities and buffs increasing the server load.
I haven't run any STFs lately, but the crystalline event's lag almost got me popped a few times, due to the tray's lag. Not much rubberbanding, but still not a good thing. I'm gonna go ahead and chalk this up to traits, like others have said.
By now it's obvious that it's not merely a problem with certain players' ISPs....
Tested a few times over the last few weeks, quite a huge difference lag wise going in with all starship traits/ pilot tree vs no starship traits and no pilot tree. Hopefully they find the exact cause of the issue and resolve it soon, makes it quite frustrating to do Space PvE Queues.
I think Cryptic needs to improve their server performance.
Look at the timer in the end, that doesn't look like an issue caused by our computers..... .

This issue needs addressing please.
Otherwise, it is hard to sell Astika for Supremacy which requires lobi crystals, hard to sell Anchored trait, which is a lockbox trait. It will be hard to sell cstore T6 and any other new ship since we wont know the potential if the ship unless all this lag is fixed.
No. I have people in fleet and in friend list on STO with high end PCs with optical fiber or high end adsl connection and still rubberband and lag like described in this thread. The problem is not the client performance, it's something in server code/network/whatever it is idk
