I'm A Unknown Enity

So what trying to figure out what was damaging me so much in Infected space mission. couldnt find me but found everyone else. Then noticed that there was a"Unknown entity" getting damaged. Im assuming thats got to be me!?
Is this normal? or is it another bug?

No. That is the invisible torpedoes, fired by both the Gate, and the Tactical Cube. And it has existed for quite a long time. Just be glad they don't one-hit-kill anymore. You could be at 9.99km away from the gate, at 100%, and then instantly explode. Thankfully, that did get reduced, but it is still there.
