Just commissioned a new BO. No options at all for any KDF Rom pieces.
Already commissioned BOs have options for everything but the pants which vanished. (males at least, the females have their own issues)
So my only options are to dress him like a cater waiter in the republic uniforms or Make him Tal Shiar. Except there are also different color palettes available for those items and he cant coordinate with the rest of the crew. Plus since he is male he has no options for the Tal Shiar belt
I have also noticed he doesn't have any of the options for the "armor" items, things like wrist attach and back and hips etc. all commissioned BOs have a long list of all the tac/eng/sci items but not the new guy.
Did you by any chance purchase the boff from the exchange? There have always been issues with outfits on romulan republic boffs when you buy a boff from the exchange that someone else had obtained. If you get the boff yourself from a doff assignment and commission it usually the outfit options are fine.
I've had this happen to me before, basically you've purchased a Romulan BOff with the wrong allegiance, hence why the BOff can't wear any of the KDF or KDF-ROM clothing. For me it happened on my FED-ROM character, when I went to the tailor I found the BOff didn't have access to the FED-ROM costumes like I wanted but did have access to KDF costumes, which is when the penny dropped. I don't think the problem is that you purchased the BOff off the exchange but rather that there is no way to tell a BOff's allegiance when browsing the exchange!
I have found on my KDF-ROM, and this is by no means guaranteed, that when buying BOffs off the exchange, when they appear to ask to join your crew, if they're wearing the Romulan Republic uniform they're FED-ROM and should be resold, whereas if they're wearing Romulan Civilian clothing they're KDF-ROM and safe to commission.
A more safe workaround to the problem would be to buy the BOff, don't commission them, copy your character to Tribble, commission the BOff on Tribble and check what options they have in the tailor. If they don't have the right options go back to Holodeck and resell them.

I haven't bought any off the exchange. ever.
Every BO I have has tailor issues,
There are serious Romulan tailor issues across the board,
Items are no longer available - KDF Rom pants for instance aren't an option.
I never meant to imply or indicate you were, if that's the way my post came across then I apologies.
sorry nothing personal, I didn't mean to be rude to you either... we just get a lot of remedial suggestions in the bug forums and it was more of general peeve than just being snide to you, and the Rom tailor issues have been ongoing and get worse every time whoever deals with the tailor does anything.

His description also says Warrior rather than Subcommander
