I was in a Crystalline Cataclysm advanced mission this afternoon and on the third detonation wave, it killed enough of our team that we failed the optional.
We then got our ten marks.
Here's the twist. The mission didn't end. The instance closing countdown didn't kick off, instead we got to keep right on fighting and killed the Entity. Then a bunch of Mirror Universe rifts showed up and we're thinking, new part of the mission, OK. By the time we killed the terrans and closed the rifts, ANOTHER entity showed up. So we killed that one too. THEN MORE rifts opened. At that point I cut out as it was getting ridiculous. I don't think a Temporal Causality loop is worth my time.
Has anyone else experienced that? It was very odd.

I had it happen on a run earlier today. Can confirm, entity died, mission didn't end, no rewards.
Is it another broken event to keep us amused?
At least a standout oddity as this one has worked for a couple of years now.

The pulse destroys too many ships, the red text with X appears in mission tracker, the fail reward can be chosen, but the optional timer continues ticking down, and the mission appears to continue, only it can no longer be completed. Also if you warp out at this point, the mission is not on cooldown and you can enter another one and try again.
I also am wondering if you are destroyed before the pulse and the pulse happens while you are waiting to respawn if this can lead to the fail condition being met, just because once I was waiting to respawn when the pulse came, and we got the fail.. could have just been a coincidence I guess.
I've also entered public queues that have apparently been hit by this: no entity, but lots of rifts and mirror ships; also the mission tracker does not have the entity mission status in it.
This is a known issue that we plan to release a fix for next week. It happens when public groups fail to complete the queue so groups in private queues should not experience the issue.
I have just seen a few instances of this, one with no Entity or enemy ships, and one with no credit given and no dialog displayed after the Entity is destroyed.
You say you will patch this next week. Will we be given one more week of the event?

Ah, thanks. I can understand that you guys were kind of swamped and set back putting together the memorial on top of your regular work.
Why the difference between PUGs vs Privates though? That seems odd since it's functionally the same event.
There are no plans to extend the event yet, but I'll suggest it.
I do know that we're also adding a greater selection of marks rewards to the queue (just the Crystalline Cataclysm, not Crystalline Catastrophe).
More marks? Hmm, that could be useful.
