Just ran through Voth Battle Zone thank you for the xp for capture poiints and doing the dailies. However you seem to have changed the dil rewards
Obtain 20 Battle zone credits and Call in Reinforcements Pre-26/02 patch rewarded 1060 dil combined Post patch 984 dil combinded
Individual V-Rex kills have been reduced from 720 per Rex to 672 dil.
Side note capture points have had a increase in dil a mighty 2 dil going from 40-42 pre capture point.
It was inevitable that BZ would see a reward nerf at some point as it was the best place to grab a basket full of dil. I guess it could have been worse. But unless i missed it the patch notes did not mention these changes
The capture 2 points and Kill mission have been left untouched

the Capture point mission has had a dil reduction from 1440 to around 1392ish
These aren't huge changes but it still as far as i'm aware an unannounced change.
Also can't tell you if overall v-rex reward has been nerfed. Only been able to tag 2 dinos and getting 2560 dil plus 672 for the 2 dino's i managed to tag. so the 2560 seems about right for the base reward for 2 dino kills.
If xp rewards cause more people to play the DBZ, it won't end up being a true nerf. Since more people = faster zone capping = faster dilithium. Hopefully this is the case.

If xp rewards cause more people to play the DBZ, it won't end up being a true nerf. Since more people = faster zone capping = faster dilithium. Hopefully this is the case.

I thought tagging had been removed? You had to participate in Rex1 to-the-death, then get to the Rex2 in time to meaningfully participate (and they usually die way too fast for that) in order to get dual credit?

No, you just have to do a bit more damage than before. They go down very fast though so making it to all 3 is difficult.

I've seen around 25% more exp from each kill. So...yeah, not much.
Yeah, I messed around with BZ on Tribble, before the recent patch launched, and the XP boost is practically non-existent. And, keep in mind, the numbers we are seeing currently are with the boost to XP from the current event. -_-
I'm sure their justification for nerfing the dilithium from the BZ is the fact that they've added dilithium to patrols and missions, but it's still underhanded that they didn't mention that they were going to do so in the patch notes. It's also an unnecessary nerf, as the people who run the BZ to get their daily dilithium allotment probably aren't going to bother grinding patrols or missions for the paltry dilithium ammounts they give out.

I play it better to be safe than sorry and do around 50% of each dino. With my awesome engineer I mine him twice and put down a plasma turret and that's enough - so around 20 to 30 seconds.

Ok folks, I always like to test voth nerfs personally. Here are my results from just now:
7300 Dilithium earned including dailies with 2 Rex kills.
also I captured 6 points.
Approximately 13000 exp gained - So without the event let's say 7000.
The loss of dilithium is only about 1000, so this passes the Sheldon test of reason.

Take out the 672 dil for killing a v-rex and i've yet to achieve a dil reward for the final fight higher than 2520 dil. I wonder if this has been capped. I have run at least 10 V-rex fights. Some with no points captured got lucky as i beamed into a full zone, other with 5-6 points captured.
Will have to continue testing that one over the weekend.
Well after a day in BZ i'm seeing a trend of 2520 dil for completion of V-rex fgiht. So as far as i can tell the end zone fight has been nerfed.

This probably what pisses me off the most. It would be one thing if they were upfront about nerfing things and why they felt they needed to; I'd still be upset about it and might disagree with the reasoning, but at least I'd have some respect for them actually being willing to talk to us straight about it.
But the fact that they continue to feel the need to sneak such things in, or outright lie to our faces about some other things, is just so ****** underhanded and insulting. One might even call it cowardly, if they actually give a damn about what we thought. It's literally rubbing salt in the wound each time.

Meh, I used to get nutty amounts of Dilithium just running around in the Battlezone for a few hours; I'd say that these nerfs are okay. It's still fun, and still gives a bunch of Dil, so I'll be alright.
If you don't like the way cryptic is going there is a simple way to change their minds. Don't Log In. If every player suddenly doesn't login till they fix it, they will fix it(unless they are truly braindead). If fact we as players can get them to do anything we want by simply not logging in till they give it to us. Seriously, people I will not be logging in myself until the xp and dil nerfing is reversed. You simply can't allow them to increase the need for xp and dil then nerf every source of it. If I can't get at least one specialization point per 2 hours of regular play of my choice, I am done with them.
Well, when the decreases are of such a small margin, my response goes from "lolz another stupid nerf" to "why would you even trouble yourself?"

If Cryptic had dumped all the nerfs to dil and xp and ec and resources in general all at once it would be the forum apocalypse. So instead they dole the nerfs out in bite sized chunks bit by bit patch by patch. And everyone's like "well it's only a small nerf no biggie" while ignoring the cumulative effect.
480 more dil here for doing a patrol, 480 there, but we'll just ignore that.

PVEs or BZ generally reward better amounts of dil for the invested time
but ok lets stick with your arguement and try it with a theoretical approach
mission A takes 10mins to complete and rewards 1440 dil
mission B also takes 10mins to complete and rewarded nothing (lets call this "patrol")
If i want to earn dil I would play mission A six times per hour (yes, i know cooldowns... but we have multiple missions of that kind or are in a BZ)
Reward = 8640 dil
Now the rewards change.
mission A gets nerfed and rewards only 960 dil
mission B gets buffed and rewards 480 (the stuff thats missing from mission A)
Now you could play 6 times mission A = 5760 dil per hour
or
you could play 6 times mission B = 2880 dil per hour.
or
you could play mission A 3 times and mission B also 3 times = 4320 dil per hour
No matter what you decide to play you always will earn less than before.
The real numbers on the server might not be that big (atm) as in my example but its still a nerf when you look at the amount of time you will need to gain the old rewards again.
And we actually dont need to discuss about "oh cryptic would never do something like that".
Remember, they announced to double the xp rewards while at the same time trippled the requirements for level-ups and told us that everything is better now.
(actually something similar is even happening atm during this xp weekend where the xp rewards are doubled but players actually dont gain more xp than 1 week ago)
